1) Brock Lesnar, he would be the top choice as for a Mania 29 match-up because this is the match-up everyone wants to see and not to mention they teased it too no less at an UFC event when Taker was there and he was egging Brock on asking him if he wanted to do it, and not to mention these 2 have a history of facing each other having a rivalry that dates back to 2002/03 but that was when Taker was the ABA but now that he is in his Deadman character, Lesnar gets to go up against him in his Deadman gimmick which then in itself would be interesting to see
2) CM Punk, my #2 choice for a Mania 29 match up with Taker because Punk is clamoring on about how he has been disrespected and he is on this never ending quest for respect, so what better way for Punk to earn respect than by trying the Streak on for size but in order for that to happen, he would need to drop the WWE Championship
3) The Rock, my #3 choice for a Mania 29 match up with Taker because The Rock and Undertaker have feuded with each other endlessly in the past but have never faced off against each other at WrestleMania and just think about the media frenzy behind it if Rock were to try the Streak by facing Taker, the media coverage alone and not to mention buyrates and also Rock would be a worthy Streak opponent that could make all of us believe that Taker's streak would end
4) John Cena, my #4 choice for a Mania 29 match-up, with Cena/Taker being another Mania match everyone wants to see considering these 2 have faced each other in the past but never at a WrestleMania and Cena being the face of the WWE, it would make sense for him to try the Streak considering Cena has done literally everything that there is to do except face The Undertaker at WrestleMania but they keep holding off for whatever reason
5) Randy Orton, my #5 choice for a WrestleMania 29 match-up with Orton/Taker even though they did face each other at WrestleMania 21, Orton was in his Legend Killer gimmick and that was when he was young, cocky and brash but for him to face Taker now as The Viper with Orton's character evolved and being darker in the sense that he is not only a veteran but also punts superstars in the skull, has won countless World Titles, and is just remorseless, he would have no problem ending Taker's streak, it would be perfect
6) Sheamus, my #6 choice for a WrestleMania 29 match-up with Taker, with Sheamus/Taker this would be a great first-time ever match-up considering these 2 have never faced each other at all one on one in any type of match and considering the way Sheamus has been pushed ever since he debuted in 2009, and the accomplishments Sheamus has achieved in his career, nothing would put him on a higher pedestal if he were to face The Undertaker

i don't want sheamus for biased reasons, i just don't like him or the writing they use for him, same goes for cena.
i really don't see how punk would benefit from winning or losing against taker, he's already 'made'.
orton is so stagnant it'd take some serious character revamping to make him even possibly interesting enough to fill the role.
rock...would not benefit either way. and is enough of a draw in his own right that it would not make sense to put one against the other.
brock all the way.

I am fine with everyone on that list but Sheamus. It just isn't appealing to me at all.

I'd mark Orton and Sheamus off the list. We've seen Taker and Orton already and I don' see them giving Orton that type of push again considering his troubles. Sheamus just ain't ready for something as big as this match. It would seem like a huge step down coming after two HBK matches and two Triple H matches.
As for The Rock, a match with him and Taker at this point is just not needed.
Between WM 29 and WM 30, I do think we'll see him face either Punk, Lesnar or Cena. So two of those guys will get a match IMO.

Maybe if the WWE had properly developed talent that could benefit from a matchup with Taker it wouldn't be such a guessing game or difficult to make such a match happen.

Good topic...
#1 for me would be Brock. Makes sense and would be a solid match.
#2 would be Cena. This is a logical choice and a must happen for Cena, if he is The Face of the WWE.
#3 would be Punk...they'd really have to sell it hard to accommodate the size/mass difference but he's make it look great I'm sure.
#4 Sheamus only because it would be nice to see him beat cleanly and decisively in a physical match

Right now I can only really imagine 3; John Cena, Brock Lesnar and CM Punk. If Lesnar were to face Taker at WM, would Taker be able to go at Brock's pace? I can picture this either being a great match or a potential flop. Anyone could return though, and with recent rumors of Jeff Hardy returning, I could see Hardy vs Taker match as well.

Dunno if I can manage 6 D: lol
CM Punk - Punks WWE title reign vs Undertakers undefeated streak. Punk vs Taker, Streak vs Streak. If they did wanna end Takers streak, now would be the time to do it. CM Punk has a lot of momentum right now, and could believably defeat Taker without making Taker look weak, it'd also push CM Punk into into ultra heel mode or something that doesnt sound too much like DragonBall Z
Kane - Undertaker really took off with the Kane feud, I guess it'd be fitting for them to have another match nearing the ending of their careers. Plus their matches have always been unique and they both have good chemistry together.
John Cena - Last year Undertaker beat the legend of the era just gone, maybe now he should face the current era leader, John Cena. I think this would be a good match just for to look at Cena vs Taker, both leaders of their era.
Chris Jericho - I'm not a huge fan of Jericho, which makes me a social outcast on the internet, but I cant deny, any match he's in is pure gold. Even if the storyline is bunk. Undertaker always has a good storyline, and a good match, combine 2 part awesome workers and 1 part sweet storyline = Match of the year!

1. John Cena - he is arguably the biggest star of this era and this would be something that we've never seen before in a big match situation
2. The Rock - they have a long history and this would be one hell of a money-making match
3. Brock Lesnar - would be very interesting and the match would probably an amazing brawl
4. Chris Jericho - Jericho is awesome, another big match that hasn't happened yet.

Is it just me that doesnt understand the hype about cena vs taker? i just can not see cena winning that match at all. It's come to the point where in order to make this match big, you gotta have an opponent you think "could this be the guy to do it" such as when orton/edge faced him - when HBK/HHH faced him. But to you cena may be the guy, to me he looks like another one to add to the list. Same with jericho, same with punk.
The only guy that stands out to me to make me think "he could actually have him here" is brock. They have real life beef with each other so it should be a crackin' contest.

In an ideal world with a healthy Taker making it to 25-0 I would have it as:
21-0 Lesnar 22-0 Cena 23-0 Punk 24-0 Ziggler 25-0 Still undecided. Needs to be special.

1. CM Punk 2. Dolph Ziggler 3. Brock Lensar 4. Daniel Brian 5. Jeff Hardy (Because of their ladder match early in Jeff's career) 6. Tyson Kidd (Most of you wouldn't pick Tyson but the guy has undeniable talent, I think he could be the modern day "Bret Hart" and he would put and amazing match on with taker.
