I used post here how I liked Basic figs over Elite ones. That was early on when Mattel figs had only been out for a short while....I think I was so use to the big Jakks bodies. At the time, my complaint was the Elite torsos/legs were simply too skinny.
Now that I have become accustomed to Mattel using the correct scale for most of their wrestling figs, now I must admit I do like the Elite figs over the Basic figs. Having said that, I do really like the Basic Kane, which I picked up today at Target. Here are my past week's pickups and received figs from trades:
Normally, I am really just interested in the older wrestlers/Legends 'if you will'.....however looking at the Elite 17 figs, which I found at several WalMarts.....I really liked the Ryder fig enough to buy it just for the belt. I also picked up an Elite Kelly-Kelly fig just to get the Divas belt (I gave the Kelly fig to a girl at church). I put it on the Trish fig shown above, which is NOT a Mattel fig, however its the ONLY DIVA fig that I own, which I plan to keep (for the record, I will get a Miss Elizabeth fig to go with a Macho Man fig).
Kinda frustrated that my local TRU has to be the only TRU NOT to get the BOPPV 2 series, however when they hit-they will be around for awhile just like the first series, which are still at my local TRU. I doubt Elite 18 will hit retail before Christmas, so I think I am all caught up on figs which I want at the moment.
