Screw the classifieds. your only going to get low ball offers every time and you may not even sell any of them. So many people want some thing for nothing on there, and the other half lines up deals with you and gets your hopes up only to bail out last minute. Your best bet is to start on ebay and just build your rating up slowly. Maybe sell some figures cheap and eventually the higher your rating gets, the more you can sell them for then. Over here though the only way you will get decent offers on figures is if you got figures from a brand new series that everyone wants. For example say you got Kevin Nash and asked $45 for him, you may get an offer for $40 and could sell him, but if you got someone like Hacksaw, Slaughter, Funk, Ted Dibiase Jr, Mysterio, Cena people won't even want them and if they do, they will only pay like $3 a pop for them if that.

Just because you have had bad experiences on the trading board doesn't mean others have. I literally see hundreds of trades a month, all from different people. It's up to YOU as the person to accept or deny the deal. If YOU don't like what they're offering, step away and ask for better. Face it, the figures for $3 a pop are overly abundant as a Kevin Nash figure is pretty tough to come by in this scalper heavy hobby. The trade board is a wonderful thing that was created to help others get what they've probably been searching for for a very long time. It's not as bad as you make it out to be.

Someone obviously got out of the bed on the wrong side this morning I all honesty, I really got to know some great people via the Classifieds, people that have wanted to help me out (and they still do) due to the fact that I am an overseas collector, and that I therefore don't have any (normal) access to 95% of all figures released by Mattel. The Classifieds is a great place, trust me!

is there any reason you just put "post up" and bumped a post back to the top that has no reason to be in the Mattel thread?

For a guy whos been here only a month u sure do complain a lot Not complaining, just being helpful to the guy and honest. Sure the classifieds are great if your trying to buy something for cheap, but if your trying to sell something, it's not the place to be. I've seen how it works, and I've heard a lot how it works too from other members. You can't complain because I'm being honest and helpful to a new member. Sure I have not made a lot of deals in my short couple months here, but I have talked enough with people to find that everyone tries to low ball you on figures, then turn around and sell them super high themselves. Don't get mad because I'm honest and helpful guys. Just trying to help the kid get the most for his figures. No sense in screwing him around.

yeah its true, I have had a couple of sellers work through a deal and at the last minute cut off all messages? For no reason and the only reason I can think is that they are holding out for a higher taker. Funny thing is at the start of the deal they stated they just want what they paid for them, So I offer them retail plus loose shipping. They agree and then come back and ask if I wanted more when I say No just the 1 or 2 figs but then all of a sudden they Ninja Vanish. Thats why I stopped using it, waste of my time. So sellers Can be the problem too.

Spam is when you leave posts that say nothing Like: Great Find, awesome Fig, Score!, Lucky and asking to sell or buy something Like the Original Post!
