A rant, reporting + todays buys

First things first. I headed to a TRU hoping to find WM28 BAF or even at a stetch of my luck maybe E17. When i got to the WWE section, i spot the WM28 BAF. How cool is that....until I see what ones they had. At the front was a Big Show, only it was elite 10, no beanie, no accessories, nothing. And in the bottom? No ricardo parts at all. Then I see what other WM28 BOPPV they had and there was a Miz which I grabbed. Behind that? Another miz....but with no ricardo parts. So some guy in no more than a week has raided the store, bought most of the set and returned at least of them stripped of the BAF parts and in big shows case with no accessories whatsoever and it was swapped with E10. Quite frankly i was disugsted so I pointed it out to the manager and the guy apparently returns things very frequently. They didnt even know this was occurring and were genuinely shocked but they were glad I brought it to their attention so this guy is now being watched. They werent very happy to learn that their brand new stock has basically been ruined. Needless to say this guy is now going to be watched and rightfully so. To even have the mindset to do something like this is flat out wrong so hopefully they get busted next time they try and pull these dirty tactics instead of spoiling it for everyone else. This set wasnt even there for a week and the person has moved into action.

Prior to coming to the US, sure you here the stories on the boards and think they are probably isolated incidents but they really arent. Ive seen several cases of things like this but not as bad as today. Its seriously disgusting that people actually do this. Hopefully things like today will stop people like that.

Anyway, here are the pics of my two new pickups adding to the forever increasing amount of stuff ive bought since Ive been here. Man is the figure collecting so much more fun and actually possible over here! Sorry havent got loose pics yet. Still deciding what to do with the bellas.

Sorry to hear about your luck. I hope that jackass gets what is coming to him! I'm sure you'll be able to find what you're looking for eventually, it just sucks that these guys can get away with this so easily. In all my years of collecting, this is the worst epidemic I have ever seen, lol.

It is really sad that people have come to our place of sanctuary and bonding (here) to learn about what figs we want and try to capitalize on that by buying and scalping figures for twice the price or doing body swaps and then returning them. This down right disgusts me...

Cool figs none the less, that Miz is a def must for my collection. Great pick up!

Things like you witness at stores with things being swapped and stolen are never going to stop. Not with a package change, not with nothing because simply collectors love these figures, they love the WWE and when your a die hard collector you find your way to this board, or another one and accordingly on both, every single day, there are threads being posted about how easy it is to swap a figure "Please go try this now!" It might not say that right out, but the msg is crystal clear everytime a swaps thread is made. People who didn't think of this before, are thinking of it now. You don't even have to be a professional thief now to try this stuff because so many threads are being spotted out telling everyone exactly how it's done and how often others are getting away with it, and its just adding more fuel to the fire.
Basically everyone loves something for free, and if you have a community of people showing you how easy it is to get away with it, telling you exactly how to do it, and giving statistics of how many people are pulling this off all over the country, eventually more and more people are going to say "F" it and give it a try.

I'm sorry to hear that. People who do crap like that are nothing but scum, it's sickening and just down right wrong. I've witnessed a few switch a roos in the past, but they weren't as bad as the ones I've been reading on here for months now. Hopefully retail stores start becoming more aware of this sort of thing and crack down on these idiots. Regardless, enjoy your figures, they're pretty sweet.

Very nice buys. The Bellas are among my favorite divas that Mattel has made and I love that Miz figure other than the gigantic headscan.

Thanks guys. Yeah it does suck, hopefully I can track the complete set down sometime. I just wish people that did this werent able to get away with it so easily. Its not even an issue of the things being secured in the pack in this instance because the person clearly bought them, took it out at home and returned it, didnt even do it in store. Its just flatout wrong.

I agree, my only other Diva is beth from 2packs1 but the Bellas were done so well I thought it was worth getting them.

Great pickups. I have the Bellas myself. The Elite 17 Kelly Kelly and Global Superstars Natalya are worth getting too.
