I have some small Rubbermade type food containers that are subdivided. I'll usually throw kneepads in one section, elbow pads in another, etc. I'll separate the larger parts into various sized containers as needed. It makes finding parts less of a hassle.

I don't have a clear pic of my storage system, but you can spot it in the background here. I had to upgrade to a 2nd unit that you can see sitting atop 1st one. It has 18 little drawers filled with various parts. The bottom unit contains boots, heads, knee pads, random accessories like knee braces/tassels, lower legs, arms, and some little loose elbow/knee pegs. The top unit has some more heads, and bigger parts like full torsos and lower bodies. Then I have this huge metal storage locker that I keep everything else in. It's helped a great deal with my attempts to clean up the work bench (though as you can see from pic 1, I still need to work on the tidiness). I keep random primers and acetone/thinners on the first shelf. Then incomplete or finished projects on shelf 2 to keep them out of the way. I keep my paints on this shelf. I have to go through it and toss out the old crap that's nearly empty. I'm also hoping to add some Model Masters or Tamiya paints sometime this year. Here's my dark abyss of a spare parts drawer. Nearly complete figures are kept in here. The drawer is rather deep, and is nearly overflowing already. I mostly have Elites in there. It's gotten bad to the point where I often forget what spare parts I have. For example, I just recently found a MOC Rockers set still in the Mattycollector box that I forgot I ordered. And the sad thing is, I still have a ton of boxes of old Jakks parts I need to sort out or put to use in customs.

buy a bigger tupperware bin and just throw them all in there. That is what i do. Then they are all in one secure spot, with a lid, and anytime you need them you can get them then. Plus they are easier to store away. You can pack them in a closet or attic or basement and you can always set stuff on top of the bin then if need be. Doesn't take up much room, keeps everything together, problem solved.
