I'm assuming a fan had hit/touched Punk, and Punk just got the wrong guy.
And maybe Punk was a little ticked on the night, and just sorta snapped.

That looks so unprofessional on both Punk's part and WWE's part. Sadly it made it right on camera too. Wow. What is Punk's problem? He's a million dollar wrestler carrying the company for over a year now and there is NO excuse for striking a fan in such a manner. Hopefully a fine, or SOME form of punishment is awaiting.

while i don't want to spoil anyone's fun, i think this may have been staged.
dvd coming out + an incident of controversy? questionable. if he ripped a fan over the barricade and beat him up we'd know it's a plant as we've seen worked punches. this was out of the box, and if it was staged it was pretty creative.

Actually, thinking about it, Punk KNEW there'd be a camera on him, he knew that everyone would be watching him.
But when a wrestler goes into the crowd, they'd prefer not to be touched, and there was no security around him.

Nah that was legit. That was a real swing and punch from Punk. You would tell if it was a fake wrestling punch, but that was legit. I really wonder what the fan did to deserve that?
