A Classic Tag-Team Fix Up-plus my NEW pickups

I haven't posted much lately, as I have been busy starting off a new school year. I have been trading a lot here lately, plus I found a couple of sets of ELITE 16 figs (but sadly no Nash) at local WalMart stores. here is what I have gotten recently:



I really love the new Punk fig, probably one of my overall favorites which Mattel has done. I was also glad to get a Rock goatee too. I have been wanting to get loose versions of Macho King/Rockers as I have the MOC versions.

Here is a pickup which I bought on a whim.....something I never do. I was taking a Sin Cara fig back to TRU for a friend who said he wanted it, but changed his mind. After I got my money back, I went to see what was new and I found they still had Basics for $6.99. They had just put out a fresh box of Global Superstars and this was the first time I had seen this figure:



Honestly, I have never seen this guy on TV....I saw his Elite fig, however I feel this one is better. Is this guy a legit star in Japan? or is he simply a nobody which the WWE is pushing as a "Global Superstar"? Does he come from New Japan or All Japan?....would love so info on this guy.



I really never ever buy figs from new wrestlers....especially those I have never heard of, however I really liked this one and thought it was worth $6.99.

Now for my fix-up......

I grew up in Memphis, watching Memphis Wrestling: Jerry Lawler, Jackie Fargo and literally everyone who came thru Memphis and then went on to be a SUPERSTAR....guys like:

-Hulk Hogan
-The Rock
-Stone Cold Steve Austin
-The Undertaker

Literally a 'Who's Who' of professional wrestling.....anyway, besides the Road Warriors.....one my favorite tag-teams were:



THE FABULOUS ONES...Stan Lane/Steve Keirn



As a fix-up....its okay, Stan Lane's head is way too big....I have seen where some guys shrink heads....wish I knew how as this one needs it badly. Finally.....I did pickup an extra Elite 16 CM Punk:

I bought Tatsu today as well, much better figure than I thought before, never had noticed the red dragon on his tights

Nice. I would actually like to get that Steve Keirn and make a custom skinner out of it.

Tatsu isn't famous in Japan at all except for being in WWE. He had that face paint gimmick for a bit and looked like he was going to go places, then it got stopped.

Ironically he got it because Tyson Kidd broke his figure, and he sought revenge, and turned into that face paint gimmick to beat him.

The fabulous ones look great. How are the heads scaled in person? Do they look too big

In person, the Stan Lane head is too big, the Hayes one I am using for Steve Keirn (sans the haircut) looks fine.

Those fabulous ones look great! I cast the old remco heads and use a mattel body for Keirn and the scale comes out fine.
