This past week was officially the last week of summer for me, but wound up being a great week for me, figure wise.
First up, I took advantage of RSC's Summerslam Sale and got the Elite 16 figures included in it (Orton, Rock, & Zeke). I bought a second Zeke for my display to open up because this blows his latest basic away. I'll take a chance on retail for Punk, Slater, & Diesel/Nash, especially since they seem to be slowly popping up at retail now.
Not pictured are B20 Cena & Mysterio I bought to open so I could qualify for $15 off my order.
Also, I got 4 of the Impact DI7 figures (Everyone minus Hardy who was sold out then put on back order once I pulled the trigger on the purchase). Since this is the Mattel board, I won't be posting pictures of those here.
Speaking of Impact, I also received my first RSC exclusive, Austin Aries, this week too (again, no pics since this isn't the board for it).
Thanks to the Summerslam Sale, I got 10 figures (Everything mentioned above minus Aries) for about $130, shipping included in that price. I thought it was a great detail and saves me from running around looking for some of them, more specifically K-Mart trips, where I hate going. I will definitely be checking future RSC sales for good deals on what I may need from future sets.
Continuing with online receivings, I got what I thought was a good deal off Amazon (Slightly more than retail) for the Otunga/McGillicutty Battle Pack, which I have literally been looking for for a few months now.
And now for my retail findings. I chalk this up as a fantastic week because it allowed me to get fully caught up with my incomplete sets at the time (Elite 15 and Battle Packs 17).
Got those gems before and after a last minute vacation I took this past weekend when I was out last minute school shopping for myself. Mark/Trent I found prior to leaving and Yokozuna I got the day I came back.
So, overall I am impressed with what I got. I'm pretty much caught up with what is hitting retail (a rarity for me nowadays) and am just sitting back waiting for Elite 16 to show up around me.
