Nothing too exciting. I am really diggin Kofi though and Funk is growing on me. I picked up Funk at KMart for $1.59 and found the Kofi at Wal-Mart and didn't even know he had a Robin inspired outfit. Had to get it once I noticed. I've actually been seeing A LOT of good stuff lately, but the budget prohibits me from buying too much at the moment. I've seen a lot of E15 and E16 (Still want Mark Henry, Punk & Ezekial). I also found B19 and the one I wanted most of all and couldn't get, was Otunga/McGillicutty BP.

I like the Funk figure....but I personally would have liked it better and think it would have sold more if they had used this attire instead: Mattel tried to be too different and even stated that they intentionally did not use the same attires that Jakks had used in the Classics line. So really, Mattel shot themselves int he foot by using obscure attires on guys like Snuka, Road Warriors, Funk, Slaughter, and others that caused the line to shelfwarm and eventually get cancelled. If Mattel had just used the characters most popular attires and not worried about Jakks, I think we'd still have a Legends line today. That's just my opinion though.

I much prefer the Road Warrior look we received from Mattel. Agree on the rest though. That Funk pictured would have been great.

Great attire choice by Mattel for kofi, really looks good. Funks a steal! Would have preferred the ecw look myself, but Mattel still did a good job on it.

I never heard about Mattel saying that. That is a pretty stupid buisness move. I do love the Road Warriors figures Mattel released. And yes, the Kofi is Robin themed.

Love that Kofi attire. I haven't picked it up yet, but I check each day as I'm leaving work to make sure we've still got him at our store. Gonna get him and the light blue Air Boom attire Kofi as I'm planning on starting a Kofi collection.
As far as the Legends go, the more iconic attires would've probably been the best way to go, but I can kinda see where Mattel was coming from. They were probably expecting some collectors to still have or plan on keeping their Jakks collection and thought maybe the different attire would appeal to them more. For example they were probably thinking that if the collectors already have a barefoot Snuka in trunks and red padded LOD figures....they may not wanna spend the money on figures that look that similar to them. So I can somewhat understand it.
I think it would have been a good idea to test the waters some though. Maybe they could have done a variant version of some of the Legends figures and seen if they sold better. Or maybe when they did the KMart Hall of Fame series, instead of just being re-released Legends figures, they could have put them in their more iconic attires and seen how well they sold.
