I've just been thinking about this and thought it was an interesting question to ask on here
How much do the superstars actually get from figure sales?
E.g. if you buy a £/$30 Cm Punk from RSC, obviously RSC and Mattel will both receive a cut of that because RSC sold it and Mattel made it

i think i saw quite awhile ago that WWE Superstars make 1% royalty off of their merchandising might be more now this was in the heyday too of Stone Cold and The Rock so might have just been for them

They don't earn anything from their figures? I always assumed they did because it's their likeness

If WWE owns their image, probably nothing.

I would expect that they make some kind of money off their merch.

i remember reading somehthing with the rock years ago about royalties he recieved a certain % because he half owned the rights to his name and likeness, and half wwe (then F)
so i think it depends on contract, likes of john cena (real name) must own some rights and cm punk (allowed to retain his indy name) must have something they gain from figure merch,
every wrestler with a t-shirt available gets royalties from them being sold, so other merch should to i guess?

I heard of this one wrestler who gets about $4,000 per figure. Can't remember his name though. Ultimate Warlord... Ultra Warror... something like that.

i remember someone said Trish Stratus made more royalties then most jobbers/superstars! Trish made three times more money than William Regal. She deserved it too. Hard working, enterprising lady. I would bet my bottom dollar that Kevin Nash is making good money from his image. Same goes for Shawn Michaels and Triple H. No way those three would let a payday slip through their hands.

i think it depends on their contract. i watched a interview with kamala where he said he gets 10% of sales, but he felt he was being screwed cause he gets such small checks. he said he even got one for less than a dollar i think. when he questioned it they told him his figures were not selling. but i believe he said it depends on the contract you sign.

I'm pretty sure everyone has some sort of percentage paid to them from the merchandise revenue WWE makes off their likeness and such. Those signed to a Legends contract probably make more, though. Speaking of merchandise deals, I wonder if Ryder was paid for licensing rights by Mattel for the Internet Championship since technically, he owns it and not the WWE.

Depends on the superstar. Goldberg was offered a deal but turned it down because it wasnt enough money but from what I understand they dont get paid "per figure" but they sign a deal that pays them thousands of dollars and the WWE can use their likeness any way they see fit.

Yup. Scott Hall said he only got $7500 from his Jakks deal. What a jip! But Im glad he signed the deal.
... and Goldturd is an ungreatful bastard, money is money. He aint bigger than wrestling, never has been and never will be.

If they work for WWE they get Royalties on all of their merchandise. It's just a small percent.
Here is how this works. Mattel/WWE have a deal. Mattel makes the figures and sells them to RSC for X amount of money. If RSC is paying lets say 6 per figure that's all Mattel is getting. Ringside gets the rest of the cash so if they sell it for $30 minus that $6 that is their profit. I don't know how much they actually get paid per figure by Ringside but that's basically how it works with all of the toy stores too.

Im sure all contracts are different. I dont know how Mattel runs but with Jakks *some* (one specifically) had to pay a small fee to have his figure made. Then after his figure was made he made back a certain percentage of the sales.
