Boil water. Once water is boiled remove it from the heat. Then place the figures in the water for 5-6 minutes. Then remove the figure and grip it with a towel so you don't burn yourself...then put a flat head screwdriver in the torso behind the sholuder and pry it apart. It should just split if it was heated enough. For the lower torso stick an exacto blade in the seam on the top...then stick the screwdriver in the seam and pry it apart.

I want to try but at $18 a figure i cant risk it. I got thru my growing pains with torso splitting mainly with clearances legends, screwed up a few regular elites. Now I'm pretty good at it

I want to try but at $18 a figure i cant risk it. I would think of it as a paid self education. Kind of like buying a foreign language dictionary. Sure, it may run you anywhere from $20 to several hundred dollars (For extinct/critically endangered languages.) but in the long run it is worth every cent if it is something you can use or will really enjoy be it the joy of seeing that cool figure on your self or the joy of knowing you made it yourself or the joy of being able to make any custom figure you want and having the skills to do it. All worth it.
