But the retail stores just have Elite 9... There is no other way then get the figures from online stores. Trust me, in the end everything is going to work out just fine, even when your only option is to order online Yes...

I just buy figures at the store, or mostly loose online. They are really expensive, but its worth it. I never buy two of the same figure though.

So, I received my packaging with Elite 16 CM Punk and Heath Slater in earlier today. And I paid $90 for that!! Anyway, I decided to stop collecting wrestling figures, cause the figures getting more expensive everytime a new series been released. Also in less then 2 years I am able to make my driver liscence, and I wanna save some money for that. Anyone else stopping collecting cause the figures getting way too expensive?? EDITI spend about $500 - $600 for wrestling figures in 1 1/2 year... Just take a break for now. You might want to begin again at a different point in your life. Also, who knows what the future holds for the figure market? Mattel might lose/discontinue their WWE lines and their figures take a hit in popularity ala Jakks. You *might* find figs that are out-of-reach now for much less down the road. You might also have a change in situation some day where you get a job or come into some money and your desire to collect is reinvigorated.

Definitely expensive for overseas collectors. Im in New Zealand and Im paying approx $40-$50 shipped from RSC per figure and same on eBay...Luckily I have a great job and im on 6 figures I only collect 4 wrestlers - Austin, Rock, Jericho, Punk. I have MOC of each in current/throwback style and have 3 figures of each loose displayed depicting 3 iconic phases of their career. Once I get an Elite current Jericho and the RSC Ex Austin I'm done. Will just co-collect rumblers with my 4 yr old daughter:)

I really think with figure collecting you have to find a happy medium with it. It's easy for me to comment, I only collect one guy but $90 for two figures says to me you probably didn't look hard enough for the best deal and weren't patient. I have been looking online and on eBay for Elite 16 Rock recently and after being patient, I got it below retail price INCLUDING shipping, yes, this is unusual, but it happens and if you just wait a little, you will get some good deals.
Prices, generally, are steep at the moment and won't go back the other way which is what we'd all like them to do, but by limiting yourself will make the hobby of collecting much more affordable and fun for you. Worst case scenario, you have to sell some you have bought before to buy others.

I'm a student, and now next year I will finish school, and then I will get money. Not much at the beginning, but when I'm finished with the apprenticeship ( dont now the exact english word ), I will get a job ( I hope so ) and then I will definitely go back to collecting! Worst case scenario, you have to sell some you have bought before to buy others. When I look on amazon in the UK the figures are cheaper, but the shipping is mostly over $12 to Germany. And If I would order from RSC I would pay $26 shipping... And the german online wrestling stores are way too expensive -> Elite 16 Punk & Slater for $83 + shipping!! I want the Elite 18 Wade and Elite 19 Brock and Ziggler. And I mean I really want them!! And the stopping is just for now. I just wanna take some time off and save money. Maybe I start again mid next year or so. But I will definitely look for better prices.

Distribution is pretty bad over here, I usually only see Rumblers and championships. Sometimes a couple of stores will get a Basic set around the same time they hit retail in the States though. I've pretty much given up on looking in stores so I stick to buying from Ringside. I spend around $300 every couple of months on Elites and have no intention on giving up yet.
