I was thinking and it seems like we have wait forever to get some figure belts from Mattel and they are doing a great job, but I thought of a cool way to get them faster and for it to be a fair game for us collectors.
Remember when Jakks took some notes from Toybiz and started making plated belts? They came in blind sleeves with a figure. I believe it was the TTL WM2000 series that started doing this and the gimmick was that you didn't know what title you would be getting, and that there was a chance that one of them would be plated with real gold.
I think Mattel should do a similar concept in the Elite series, but gaurantee that there is at least one "shiney/chrome/metallic" belt in each series with the rest being dull (you know Mattel and their costs) but the title can be at random and come with anybody. Everything from a Divas belt to an Attitude belt.
What is also cool about this concept is that it would reduce stealing, Peg warmers might not stick around as long since an Orton, Cena, or Rey could come with a shiney white strapped IC belt, we won't have to wait for certian figures to get made to get their particular belt they carry, and scalpers would have no choice but to open the package if they want to inflate a price on it. It would be like a Transformers lucky draw figure (google it if you don't know)
This won't stop switching and dishonest returns unfortunately, but it's not a bad idea.
What do you think?

Yea......... quite the opposite really.

This sounds incredibly, I think Mattel needs to give this a test run and see if there are positive results. Makes things interesting every once in a while.

^^ True but if you were a person who steals would you do so knowing that there is a 90% chance of getting a dull belt no one wants. No one can open every figure right there.

If I'm spending 16.99+ on a figure, I wanna know exactly what I'm getting. Honestly, if I were to get a crummy dull World title, I'd return/exchange the figure until I got something good.

I like that we are trying to think up new ideas, but lik stated above. If I am going to spend that kind of money on a figure, I want to know what I am getting.

It's a shame that people nowadays seem so brazen or willing to break rules. When Borders was still in business most of the Kid Robot blind box figures were opened and searched by customers. Then there are "collectors" at Target feeling up packs of cards by the register hoping to find the rare chase. It's too bad, could've been a fun idea.

Sounds like a Brilliant Idea. I remember Jacks did this. One of the figures I remember is Mark Henry with the WHC and Bobby Lashley with the WWE title.

I wouldn't want to buy an entire wave of elites and getting the same belt in each. But the idea of blind bag belts would be good, but they would be stolen way to much.

I like that we are trying to think up new ideas, but lik stated above. If I am going to spend that kind of money on a figure, I want to know what I am getting. I was thinking these would be additional to the normal accessories. Although I guess it wouldn't make sense if a certain figure comes with a belt, and then comes with an additional blind pack belt but why not? I doubt Mattel wouldn't be that nice to us but one can dream. Take Elite Jericho who only came with a mic, he would have also came with this as an extra "goody". Or you can have a figure like Alberto Del Rio who comes with a scaf, WWE title, MITB briefcase, and a blind belt... could be dull, could be a shiney IC belt. That was the point of these. I also said that there is only one shiney belt gauranteed in a set so this way Mattel has room to make another one that can go with a particular figure. they usually only have 2 shiney belts in their budget per Elite set so the other one can go in a Blind pack. Maybe this would work better for basics, but then we'll be charged extra $ then even for the dull belts. Good poll so far. Most are cut and dry but I like the 50/50 opinions.

Why does it have to come with a figure? I'd take a blind item if it has tables and ladders too.

What about when Jakks made those Wrestlemania Grapple Gear belt packs? Considering WWE owns the rights to several different companies, they could do different runs; WCW belts, ECW belts, vintage WWF, Attitude Era belts, right up to today. thhey coud start it off with the new WWE title, depending on if they show it on RAW tonight like people have been guessing.

Mattel has said in the past because of copyrights they can't make all the belts, because they'd need to contact the belt artists/creators and I guess sign them to congrats.
As for the original post...no I'd much rather they release a belt pack at mass retail, Matty or as a mailaway like Vince & HHH.
