I'm just curious to hear what you think is some of the rarest Mattel figures?
Obviously HBK Elite 7 comes to mind, what else do you guys think is some of the rarest Mattel figures?

Lets just say hypothetically that if there was a figure of a guy to be made but then he was fired or released or something like that and went to another company and they scrapped that figure and a group of rogue ninjas over in the Orient politely walked into the factory and asked kindly if they could have said scrapped figures and the owners politely granted their wish. I would say those would be the rarest of the Mattel figures. People would probably be making bad customs of that guy and selling him on an online auction site for tons of money or even selling the ones that they were politely given.

You must be talking about Matt Hardy. Yeah his elites are impossible to get at a good price since so few real ones exist outside those few (one or two?) MOC ones that showed up at retail. E7 Swoggle and HBK E9 Ryder

E7 Swoggle and HBK E9 Ryder Nope. Just a hypothetical. Like anything like that would ever happen. Next thing you know forums will prohibit even mentioning that figure or something like that.

I'm curious about this, and I wonder if there are any rare mattel figures. I've never EVER had trouble finding any fig since mattel took over. I've come across at least one of any figure I've wanted.

Maybe the ones you want aren't the rare ones? I haven't either since I started collecting last Christmas. I even saw E11 Punk at Wal-Mart the very first time I went figure hunting and also passed up on it for $5 at the flea market. Knowing what I know now I regret that but oh well. But yeah like you said, I have had no problem finding anything I wanted in stores. I've seen all of E14, E13. E12 minus Kane, E11 minus Rey(go figure) and all of E10 at either Wal-MArt or K-Mart. And that's just the stores within 20 minutes of my house.

I know the Rarest Jakks was the Adrenaline two pack with Jeff Hardy, I think like series 1 or 2
as far as Mattel, I know the RSC Exclusive Kane doesnt stay in stock for too long. Depends on your area. around here in Pa. Vicki, Zack, and Elite 8 Sheamus was hard to get

To this day I'm still annoyed at myself for not getting Elite 7 DX when I had the chance.
Triple H isn't too bad to find but I'm pretty sure they only produced about 11 Shawn's for the entire planet.

They are mass produced toys so None are rare. Although there's been a few produced in 1/2 the numbers than others. Both the E7 HBK & Hornswaggle were produced in twice the numbers as Tyson Kidd & David Hart Smith. So in that case Tyson & Smith are "rarer" than both HBK & Hornswaggle, but they still weren't "rare". I think you want to know what are the "popular" Hard to find figures and for me that would be the RRH Hitman. I've never seen him in a store.

I would say E9 Ryder was and still is very hard to find. There were only 2-3 on that entire TRU display cube last year (AND I KNOW BECAUSE I WAS STANDING RIGHT THERE WHEN THE TOOK THE BOX OFF THE TOP OF IT).
E12 Kane has BEEN VERY HARD TO FIND.
E11 Punk IS NOT A RARE FIGURE. HE WAS FOUND IN ABUNDANCE IN MANY WAL MARTS ACROSS THE COUNTRY. He sold out rather quickly because it was the holidays.
L1 Austin (HOF) is also another rare one.

Lol, every area is different but I know I've seen over 11 HBKs. I think if Mattel had released one or two other elite versions of Shawn this one would not be so sought after.

Rarest figures are probably E7 Michaels and Hornswoggle, E9 Ryder, E11 Punk, E12 Kane, Vince Mcmahon mailaway and Michael Cole with all his pieces put together. Legends 1 Road Warriors and Legends 1 Austin do pretty well. All those will fetch alot. Some of the Divas can get you some pretty good money too, I dont know which ones because I dont buy them or follow basics that much but I think the early Kelly Kelly goes for quite a bit. (or did at least since a new one just came out)
