i know, cliche title, but everyone knows what they're in for......... THE MAN who FEARS NO MAN and FEELS NO PAIN. THE MAN they call VA DE R! well a little backstory now. i was bored browsing for new figs and after browsing mattel's legend offerings again, i came across VADER. thinking about it, i had never ever seen a vader match. so i started watching vintage matches and became a fan. i compared the mattel vader to jakks vader and almost keeled over laughing. mattel really hit a home run with this vader fig. IMO, the expression could have been better, but its not terrible from all angles.

I would love to get that vader. It took me so long to get the jakks one and it seems the same with this one

I have this figure and it is one of my favorites. They did a good job on him. That is the difference between Mattel and a lot of other companies. Many other companies would have either not made him or tried to use already existing parts.
Mattel created bodies JUST for guys like Mark Henry, Vader, and Yokozuna even though you could NEVER use those parts on other guys because they want the figures bodies to look as realistic as possible.

ya, im really happy with the vader.
IMHO, he was owed a good figure after the jakks version. im not really trying to bury jakks, but i mean by comparison, their efforts are somewhat laughable.
its just crazy how much of a powerhouse he was in his wcw days. glad to see him re-created in that era attire aswell.

Vader is 1 of my favorite Mattel figures, my biggest complaint is on mine his singlet has lost some paint I remember seeing 1 in stores as early as last December, wish I would have picked up an extra one

Vader was a beast in WCW in the early 90's. He had a nice early push in the WWF but after losing to Michaels at Summerslam 96 he pretty much got relegated to midcard status. This is a badass figure, I got him at Kmart for 6 bucks during their clearance legends sale.

I have the figure myself and I think it's very underrated. Great details, body mold and accessories.

This makes me regret not picking him up when he was on clearance for around $3 at my local Target.

I have this figure and love it, am a huge fan of Vader, mostly for his work in Japan though.
Thanks for sharing the great pics.

That Vader is one of my favorites! Vader and Bam Bam have been my favorite Mattel figures.
I think I've mentioned this in another thread, but I'll say it again........ Has anyone noticed some of Mattels best efforts so far have all been bigger guys. Guys like Vader, Bam Bam, Bossman, and although I haven't seen him in person yet Yokozuna, all have turned out great. I can't wait to see whenever they get around to making an Earthquake. Its either Mattel has really done a great job on these or Jakks set the bar low with their attempts. Actually I still like Jakks Bam Bam, and at the time I really liked Jakks Vader...until I saw Mattels masterpiece. Jakks Bossman and Yoko...those are both pretty horrible, and I'm glad Mattel has done such a good job on them.
