Any particular reason we haven't seen a Goldberg?

Does anyone know of any particular reason why Mattel hasn't made a Goldberg yet? I know there are literally a dozen guys who could sell better, but he was pretty big for a while, and fought a much-hyped though disappointing match with Lesnar at Wrestlemania.

How old are you? Obviously young if THAT'S the match that you think people remember him for. He was big for a LONG time, and still is. He would outself just about anyone else. I think the only logical reasoning behind it is that he has yet to sign a Legends deal with the WWE. Until then, I'll stick with my Goldberg fixup. It came out great, and I don't see Mattel doing much better than myself.

Actually, I personally remember him for his streak in WCW, but the bookers ruined that. But nothing is bigger than Wrestlemania, and Brock Lesnar has been a hot topic as of late. So the tie in is simply meant to show his current potential relevance despite his absence.

I think Mattel hasn't signed him to a Legends deal because he wanted more money or something.

This sounds likely. He's a money/popularity hungry guy. TNA wanted him, but he wanted another streak and a world title run. He's past his prime.

theres at least 20 other wrestlers who did more for the business
and who deserve a legends figure more than that jackass

I remember him making noise about having a big Wrestlemania send-off and all that, but apparently WWE didn't offer him what he thought he was worth.

I assume it's the same with Mattel, probably not paying him the ninety-quadrillion dollars he wanted.

actually met Goldberg last year and this was asked. Basically he said Mattel had said that he is\was on of the most requested for the legends line so with that understanding he said he should receive more compensation than a standard legend deal based on the demand.

I'm not a Goldberg fan, at all, but I would buy a 98 style Goldberg because he is just one of those guys I feel belongs in my collection. That being said, I'm not going to lose any sleep if we never get one, especially if it is largely due to Goldberg himself just holding out for more money.

So Mattel wanted him to sign the same deal as Terry Funk, a figure I can STILL find at Kmart? If I were him I'd hold out, too.

Where are you getting this? Goldberg has perviously stated that he would only sign with the WWE.

And to answer your question in an interview a year or 2 ago, Goldberg was criticizing WWE in recent years.
