Jakks for me though I see why people go for mattel Jakks wins on variety, they covered nearly everyone worthy of a figure. Durability, figures were always very durable and didnt break easy. Mattel wins with scaling. people didnt like how "cartoony" Jakks sometimes looked but I do like the cartoon style so it never bothered me, and the scale never bothered me either seeing as varying heights would mess up my display, i.e if big show was gonna be in front of ric flair, you're not gonna see flair.

Did Jakks have a lot of variety and pumped out figures faster? Yes..but the reason for this is because all they made was headscans and barely anything else. i'll use examples such as Brock Lesnar having the same parts.or orton and batista having the same torso.

MATTEL 100%!!!! They are only 2 1/2 yrs in so people gotta chill with that Jakks is better because they had more roster, it doesnt compare to the quality of Mattel!!! Also mattel doesnt have the rights to a lot of those wrestlers!!!

J Mattel......HITS THE GROUND RUNNING WITHOUT HAVING TO DO THE LEG WORK.....THEY TOOK THE DELUXE AGGRESSION IDEA, GAVE IT SCALE, ADDED ACCESSORIES, AND CALLED IT ELITES That's not really true. What Mattel did was bring Wrestling figures into the 2000's so they are on par with modern action figures. And no I am not a Jakks hater. I haven't sold any off and I continue to fill in the holes of my collection.

Perhaps you didn't care about scale. But, for me, even when I was a young fella, I HATED that all my BCAs were the same size. Still hated it even more through TTLs-RAs. Then, DAs were just a joke. And, your price argument is invalid. You are talking about the days when figures were $6-8. How many years ago was that? A long time ago really, we are in an economy where EVERYTHING has gone up in price (except my pay, bazinga). So, you add inflation and the fact that Mattel cranks out MANY more character-specific molds as well as MUCH more detailed paint jobs and a more expensive and less-cheap looking plastic. Add those things together and it surely would explain the higher cost. Further, Mattel is still young in their contract with WWE. Look at Jakks at this point in their contract. What? 2.5 years. I'd have to do some research, but they CERTAINLY weren't at the stage that Mattel is at yet. I do realize the market is different now and the bar has been raised, but for any new endeavor, there will be some time needed to sort out kinks. I personally think we'll see the Legends line again. So, there are many things that can not be fairly argued and such things are not black and white. Jakks TNA figures are still only $9.99 at retail, just sayin'. I enjoy both Mattel and Jakks figures. I really don't understand what anyone is trying to accomplish by arguing about which is better. It's all a matter of opinion. People are going to like what they like and you probably aren't going to change their minds.

jakks. they kept figures at an honest price and gave you an accessory, cant say the same with mattel. they charge way more for ONE exclusive figure (and all the exclusive legends have been boring as hell) than jakks did for exclusive 2 packs. They had a diverse selection of weapons and accessories. You also rarely ever saw jakks figures clearance like mattel, and last time i checked jakks didnt have to pull the plug on any lines of figures we're used to (mattel pulled legends, defining moments and entrance greats). Jakks>mattel and hell the ING BARBIE COMPANY makes mattels and you're telling me they cant release a straight up set of 3 shirts, a chair and water bottle for $10? Theyd make more money off the clothes than they would on the figures themselves.

The price point was too high for most people. It happens. Jakks pulled Ripped and Ruthless and their first legends line (whatever that was called). Retailers won't buy accessory packs.

Dollar Store figures.
Seriously, Mattel, great sculpts and attires. Jakks: Likenesses, some have better attires, more names, better distribution (at the time)
It is a 50/50 thing, I still have Jakks because of the person themselves (Hogan, RVD, Angle, Dudleys, Hardys, Bruno, Killer Kowalski, Chris B*****, Kolloffs, etc.)
Overall, Mattel for the win. Distribution is my main gripe with them now.

SOMEONE DECIDED TO SHRINK FIGURES FOR WHATEVER REASON......I'M JUST GLAD Mattel DIDN'T ALTER THEIRS... AND SCREW RUMBLERS (NOT A FAN), I'D PREFER Mattel TO RELEASE A PRODUCT LINE COMPATIBLE TO HASBROS WHICH STILLS SELLS FOR A DECENT PRICE ON EBAY.....STILL ALOT OF INTEREST IN HASBROS....!!!

^^^Are the caps really necessary? Did Jakks have a lot of variety and pumped out figures faster? Yes..but the reason for this is because all they made was headscans and barely anything else. i'll use examples such as Brock Lesnar having the same parts.or orton and batista having the same torso. Like Mattels dont have the same parts? Just look at John Cena's Extreme Rules, Wrestlemania XXVII, Best of 2011, BOPPV Build a Set, Signature Series, BP13 and BP15 releases. Of course they're going to have the same parts, because they're of the same person. He means that Jakks Orton and Batista have the same torso but in real life, they're completely different. Quality over quantity. Jakks were able to pump out figures more and have a faster turnaround because all they needed to do was make a new headscan, add an inaccurate torso and leave out half the deco and any company could get a new figure out ASAP. Jakks were able to get more resemblance when it came to headscans although their Diva ones were usually a miss. I'd say because their figures were bigger, they were able to add more detail than Mattels which are smaller. Detail on attires clearly goes to Mattel, hands down. Jakks towards the end of their run didn't even bother adding detail, the last Adrenaline series had all the figures in plain attires with no detail. This has become somewhat of a negative for Mattel. If they skip minor detail for whatever reasons like an outline on a design, don't add a certain colour to something etc, boy oh boy do they get shot down for it by members on here. Scale is obvious, I always hated seeing my Deluxe Carlito towering above my Deluxe Kane. Mattel gets my vote.

I think the Mattel figures are way better. BUT Jakks did some things better, and I do like the TNA DI figures, too. I think the Mattel Elites are the best wrestling figures we've ever seen.

Excuse me sir but I think you accidently left your Caps Lock button on. No, I'm talking aesthetics and function not size. I think they were going in the right direction with lines like Finishing Moves and R3 but went backwards with RA. The RA figure was poorly designed compared to most Toy Biz figures, for example. To their credit, they did realize this and tried to modernize with DA. But really they didn't go far enough. Like I said before, I still like Jakks. I just don't think they were the best figures on the market (I think Mattel has the best figure in retail, atm). Oh, yeah, I also like Hasbro WWF.
