This is my Walmart's 3rd restocking on Series 13 (other shipment is still in the toy aisle full of Rey's, JoMo's and Takers). This picture is from last night, I caught an employee not even half way through filling the end cap unpacking figures. He asked me who I was looking for, I told him #02 Vickie Guerrero. Out of all these figures, NOT ONE unpacked was Vickie. I stood and watched him open the sealed boxes, and put them out. This is getting so frustrating. I could buy online but I'm a collector that believes in the thrill of hunting figures down in stores, and the feeling you get when you find something. I haven't had that feeling in a long time with Mattel. :/ But seriously...how long do you think it will take to sell these? We've had no basics above series 13...just repeat basic 13 cases.

That's a nightmare of an assortment. Not only do those figure not sell that well, they are months old at this point.

I never saw my Wal-MArt fully stocked with B13. Jsut scattered Reys and Morrisons. No Taker, Truth, Vickie, or Zeke.
On the bright side though I went today and they had fully stocked B15 so that's pretty exciting. Even had a bunch of Brodus Clay and Layla which I think were the 2 from that set that are short packed.

That's seriously ed up of Mattel.....with these endcaps Walmarts are getting recently, how can Mattel send out Basic 15 or 16 to some stores, yet allow others to receive such a large amount of Basic 13, which is 5 MONTHS OLD! Mattel is bitching that figures aren't selling and it's our fault and that's why they cancelled the Entrance Greats, Defining Moments and Legends....but then they go ahead and flood a store with a 5 month old series and WONDER why it's never going to sell!

How many times do I have to say this before you morons understand ? Before you go start insulting people, maybe you should actually work in a store first, jackass. The stores order them, yeah, but they just place an order for a Basic assortment because they know they have to fill an end cap or display. A store can't place a specific order for a certain # series like Basic 15,16 or 17. The store places the order, and Mattel sends whatever. So I am right, and the problem IS Mattel. Because it's completely unorganized that some Walmarts are having their orders fulfilled with Basic 13 while others are getting more up to date stuff like Basic 15 and 16. So stop acting like an assclown,. because you really have no idea what you're talking about.

I was curious as to how the options were presented to stores, and if they had any say at all in the exact series they order. I assumed it was exactly how you explained it. That they are simply provided with basic options, and have to take what they can get. If that's the case, then it's crazy to think that problem seemingly can't be sorted out.

Yeah bro, it's a pretty flawed system. Everything is essentially controlled by a computer and orders are done based on item counts. So let's say you're store is filled with shelf warmers and the stock is seen as being full, then no orders are going to be placed. Once item numbers get down to a quantity where another order needs to be made, it's essentially just a generic order for fulfillment of an Elite assortment, a Basic assortment, a 2-Pack assortment, a Flexforce assortment, or whatever the specific line is. The store unfortunately can not control what Series # they get....it's just the luck or unluck of the draw. We saw this with the TRU displays too how some stores were getting Elite 13 and others were getting Elite 14. Didn't seem to be any rhyme or reason, just whatever Mattel felt like sending to fulfill the required amount of Elite units. I understand it would be impossible for a store to request a certain series or figure....but in a perfect world I would LOVE it if Mattel could at least try and make it so each store is receiving the same # series around the same time. It's frustrating when TRU is getting Basic 17 and then WHAM Walmart gets a crap load of 13 that nobody wants. That type of thing shouldn't happen. That's going BACKWARDS not forwards.

Just more proof of the flaw in Mattel's distribution. They are shipping Basic 13, 15, 16, 17 and BoPPV Basics right now. Stop letting something new out of the factory until the stock of an older wave is gone. Might suck for us having to wait but it would beat having 2 JoMo, 2 or 3 Mysterios and Cenas out at a time.

They don't order them by series 13, series 14...etc. All the basic series and WMania, SSlam, Rumble, SSeries Heritage figures are all cross referenced together as an assortment. EDIT....sorry I posted this before I saw Lorenzo's reply...with pretty much says the same thing mine does....

I work at wal-mart. Congratulations on being a total intellectually- disabled person though. We should have known you worked at a low end retail job by the way you call people names. Good luck with your crappy service industry job and lack of people skills.

Hahaha I love being called a intellectually- disabled person by somebody who's job it is to be a stock jockey! Stock those shelves, monkey! Maybe I can come to your Walmart and take a big fat dump in the middle of the store and it can be your executive privilege to clean it up. Good luck in your bright future. Clearly you're going places.

Do we really need to resort to attacking each other because of action figures?
Yes, distribution sucks major butt but Mattel isn't going to fix it because in the end, it doesn't affect the money that comes in. One store gets stuck with an old series, another store will get all the new stuff. Either way, when Christmas comes, most of the old stock will be cleared out and this horrible process happens all over.
If Mattel were to try to even out the waves and send the equal amount to the the major retailers, whose to say that each retailer will send the equal amount to each store? The stores that sell the most WWE figures will probably get all the newest stuff from the store's computer and then stores that doesn't sell will get stuck with old stuff. There's too many factors for every store to get the even amount of waves and figures, it will never happen. Deal with it.
Best solution is to pre-order a set from RSC or other online shops so you will get the figures you want and then you can trade/sell the ones you don't want. Either way, to be a collector, it takes time, money and effort.
