Not sure if posted Anklefootmd.com has posted a new report updating the foot injury status of WWE star Evan Bourne, and the report discloses that Bourne suffered a midfoot fracture dislocation, otherwise known as a LisFranc dislocation fracture. The report adds that even if treated well, LisFranc dislocations can be career threatening for athletes. The report notes: "It is unknown whether or not Bourne will return to wrestling after this injury but one thing is certain – it’s going to be a long road to recovery." If I'm not mistaken I believe Yao Ming's basketball career was ended by multiple Lisfranc injuries, but he was well over 7 feet tall and 300 lbs., so there was a lot more pressure to deal with.
Since Bourne is so small I wouldn't actually expect to end his career. He has substance abuse issues that are more likely to do that.

Between the drug issues and now the major injury his WWE career may be over at least for a while. He can likely come back from the LisFranc injury. I am no expert, football players generally miss a season and come back. Basketball players it can be a big problem, but seems to affect taller guys (Bill Walton, Yao Ming, Tim Duncan has battled it in the past, no fracture I think).

He will probably be let go soon anyway so no difference, me thinks. This just makes it worse.

Wow, I never would have thought an injury like that can be a career ender. Poor Evan, I hope he has another career he can fall back on.

It's not the injury that'll end his carreer, it's the drugs.

Whenever I think of a small wrestler getting into a car accident, I think of Brian Pillman.

What? When did he get injured? I heard from a .good source. that he dropped his glass bong on his foot, and both of them broke.

Good News:
"followed-up with the surgeon today. X-rays show every bone is back in it's proper place. Recovery won't be fast but I'll heal & fly again!"
