Recently I bought a new computer because my old one died. Now I have to import all of my music back into Itunes. the problem is that it takes quite a while to import now. On my old computer, it only took about 5 or so minutes to do. But now it can take up to 40+ minutes. Is there any way to increase the speed?

It being a new computer means it should have a good amount of RAM and a good processor which makes the PC operate faster/slower. Could just be the way the new drive reads the discs.

So I think I found out why my computer takes so long to download the CD's. I looked at the amount of storage they are taking up, and all of them are in the 500+ MB range. I know they should only be around 50MB or so, but have no idea why they are doing this or how to fix it.

Should be something in the preferences in order to change the quality of the mp3s that are being ripped.
