Anyone else wonder what they do with all their old gear. I am thinking of guys like HBK, Edge, Christian, Rey, people like that who have had so many different attires over the years. Do you think they keep them? Give them away? I always wondered. Also if you could have one wrestlers gear what wrestler and which attire? I would Love a pair of HBK's tights with blue hearts.

Many of them keep them for sentimental reasons...IE HBK, Edge and Christian. Others like Orton, Victoria, Maria, Melina, etc. will sell them ebayers or sell them direct themselves. Worn wrestling gear is a very expensive hobby to participate in. I have VERY few pieces, but thats what I am collecting now.

Yeah i was able to get a well known wrestlers gear once who was just trying to get rid of his stuff and gave it to me. Its still one of my favorite pieces.I have seen some on Ebay and don't think it is worth the price some people ask for it. I do know some of it is very expensive to make though.

I always thought it'd be cool to get a Rey mask. Like when he hands it to the kids

I always wonder if John Cena still has all those little colored shorts with the matching boots he used to wear

In an old WWE mag from 2006, Edge has a closet with all his wrestling stuff including all his tights & jackets etc and merch.

I would imagine that most of them kept some of the stuff or get special things framed etc. I dont understand the fascination of buying someones trunks or tights, washed or not I dont want something that some dude made crotch gravy in during a match.

^ I would expect people who buy ring worn gear to have it framed and if that is the case I see nothing wrong with that. It would be a nice thing to hang on the wall imo.
As for what people do with their stuff I'm pretty sure they would just keep most of them. Some wrestlers sell their stuff like CM stated however I'd probably hold onto my favorite attires [ones that had meaning ex: won first title in that attire etc] if I was them.

Punk has said in WWE mag that he keeps every piece, Victoria says she has a whole closet of just gear. I recently bought some of Marias and it cost a pretty penny

i'm kinda into it altho i agree that paying thousands of dollars for a pieca of clothing is pretty insane, even if i was rich i'm not sure i would do it but i do understand the allure & fascination factor.
i usually settle for a nice replica piece if it comes authographed, it looks just as nice framed on a wall and techincly, the wrestler did touch it to sign it so to me theres not that much diffrence between that and an actual worn piece, only the bodyparts that have touched it are diffrent lol...for example, i have a yellow hulk hogan trunks that is signed and framed, it is not ring worn, just some replica that got signed and then sold through some private signing/auction company that sells stuff like that on ebay.
To me it is just as nice as if it were and actual ring worn trunks, it looks identical, was held by hulk himself an signed by him, and came with a real photograph of him holding it as proof. i have it framed on my wall and to me it's the perfect hulk collectable, i find items like that more intresting then just collecting his figures or whatnot, it looks class and is a nice tribute item to have to one of my wrestling idols, ring worn or not.
i DO however own several ring worn lucha libre masks but that's just another world althogheter,i look at them diffrently then trunks or other gear, mask collecting is a whole sub-collecting hobby on it's own really.
