Than Eli? Or than Brady?

In my opinion both. But I do understand why some choose Brady over Manning.

Wait, people don't actually think Eli is better than Peyton, do they?

Wait, people don't actually think Eli is better than Peyton, do they? When all is said and done, I think the potential for an argument could be there. As it stands right now, no, but when Eli retires in say, six or seven years, maybe.

Wait, people don't actually think Eli is better than Peyton, do they? Eli has 2 rings and Peyton only has 1 so Eli is the better QB. Sorry, Kliquid, but these are FACTS.

The question was geared towards Eli and Peyton.
I see Eli in the same way that I see Terry Bradshaw. A really good quarterback, on a great team.
We've already seen what the Colts are like when you take away Peyton. In that case, he's a really great quarterback on a really poor team. And with that being said, Peyton has gotten them into the playoffs for 10 straight seasons.
Not to mention the whole "he pretty much runs his own offense" factoid, and it's hard to argue otherwise.

The talk in PA has been how Eli is the better Manning. (makes me cringe every time I hear it)
I tried arguing at first, but these damn Steeler fans really want to crown Eli for some reason.

I would say Peyton is better then Eli. What does Peyton have like 5 MVPs? Eli might have more rings but Trent Dilfer also has a ring. The Colts success was b/c of Peyton imo the Giants is because of the defense.

Regarding the whole "who's on a better team" thing, the Giants would not be 2-14 without Eli.

Regarding the whole "who's on a better team" thing, the Giants would not be 2-14 without Eli. They would be pretty close. The defense and running game helped Eli in the post-season, but he carried this team in the regular season. (not saying NYG is anywhere near as bad as Indy without their starting QB though)

(not saying NYG is anywhere near as bad as Indy without their starting QB though) No, the Giants' defense is sooo much better than the Colts'. The Giants just had a terrible regular season this year defensively. I am not degrading anything Eli has done with my comment, I am just stating what I believe to be true.

Um the Colts were tanking this year, like obviously blatantly tanking.
I doubt Coughlin would let the Giants do that

The point is, the Giants sans Manning are better than the Colts sans Manning. Not even close.

The Giants would have went 4-12 without Eli this year..our defense was so bad in the regular season, he carried this team to the postseason and did his job plus a little bit more in the playoffs, he still needs to win at least one MVP to be considered anywhere in Peyton's league though..

ELI HAS HAD 2 GOOD ING YEARS 2 years. Out of his entire career, he's had two really good years that just so happen to have brought rings. I'm not trying to say Eli isn't a good quarterback or that the Giants would have been completely ok without him. I'm just saying it's very clear that Peyton has more value as a Quarterback to the Colts, and this year is a great example of that. The Giants won the SB, so they were the best team this year. Eli was their QB, and won Super Bowl MVP, so you could argue based on that he was the best QB this year. But that in no way makes Eli a better quarterback than Peyton.

Eli was significantly better in 2010 than he was when they won their first Super Bowl. Just sayin'.

I dunno why the argument is so strong with Eli. Him and Rothlisberger are "good to very good QBs" who lead their teams to the titles....thats it. They dont kill their teams, they help them win. Are either of them better than Brady, Brees, Rodgers, Manning? no. Anyone who says they are because 2 Super Bowls is either a homer or just plain dumb. There is no shame having a very good QB if you can win multiple SB titles! Tom Brady is the exception because he has done both but would any Saints/Packers/Colts fan trade their QB and what they have done for Eli and what he has done? I dont think I would.

Chad Pennington maybe retiring. PLEASE PLEASE i beg the Jets to bring this guy in. Very smart QB who can teach Sanchez a thing or 2, like how to complete a slant pass instead of throwing it to the other team.
