Football is my favorite sport. When NCAA, and NFL seasons are over; I just wait a couple short months for AFL (Arena Football League) to start. After that ends in July...I don't have long to wait for the NCAA, and NFL.

Doesn't AFL also play games during the NFL season too?
or am I getting that wrong? I'm only asking because I thought I remembered watching a few during the beginning of the season on NFL Network.

Sean, no they don't. The play-offs and Arena Bowl may go into August.

Bowe will be expensive, and NE already has Welker as a priority. They'll probably go the cheaper route if they are getting a FA WR. Someone like Wayne or Lloyd is a more realistic option. I think Lloyd probably makes the most sense considering the connection to Daniels in Denver and then again in St. Louis. But for the Pats as an organization....I think Bowe makes the most sense.

What does everyone think of Gronk goin to party after the loss? I just read Rodney Harrison said it was a disgrace and whatever. I personally think he could do whatever he wanted, they had the party for a reason, why not enjoy it? Maybe takin your shirt off is a bit far off, but to say these players care about the "team" is crazy. This is a job to them, win, lose or draw they are getting theirs. I can't tell you how many times i have heard about the Jets partying after a loss, why? b/c they just got outa work and wanna relax.

He makes sense for a lot of teams. But not many will be willing to pay the hefty price. Certainly not NE.

Personally, I'd be disgusted if a Raven player did that right after losing a SB.

He had more at stake then ANY fan and it's not like he wasn't trying during the game. If I were to lose the SB I would try and avoid the sorrow and depression from it too.

That's a good way to look at it too. Try to keep it positive, they also had a hell of a season and should celebrate it.

I just dont know how you could find it in you to go wild at a party just after losing the Super Bowl, as an NFL player. It's the game that all other 30 teams try and get to, you just got there and lost.
I'd understand if it was somebody from an 8-8 team who didnt make the playoffs and just lost the last game of their season, going out and having a good time; but the Super Bowl?! IDK maybe since Im not an NFL player I dont know what it feels like to lose the biggest game of the year, but I'd be surprised if it made you want to party.

With death, depression, sadness, etc. Some try to stay positive about it. Plus remember it was a private invite only Patriots party that had like 4 bands there. Kraft nor Belicheck canceled it. That and by the time they were dancing who knows how many drinks they had.

I dont know many people who cope with death by partying, besides Casey Anthony that is.

I guess he was supposed to sit around and mope for days? I just don't get giving him a hard time for going out and maybe trying to forget about what turned out to be the biggest letdown of his life probably.
Lots of people like to go an unwind after having a really bad day. Maybe he got drunk and started dancing. I don't really see the problem with it.

Maybe since I played football my whole life, I see it as a big deal. But come on, It's the Super Bowl. I'm sure if NYG lost and Brandon Jacobs was the one partying, people would throw a fit.

I'm fine with Gronk doing whatever he wants after the game. however, I don't see the reason in them having Gronk in there the entire game, when he CLEARLY wasn't playing like himself. And after the first real drive, don't you think the Giants probably figured out that he's just a decoy?

I played football for years. Maybe that is why I don't see it as a big deal. In fact, going out after a loss to try and lift our spirits wasn't that unusual.

Not every person's entire life is football.
Gronkowski just had the greatest season a tight end has ever had catching the ball in the history of the NFL. It's not like he's some scrub out there who is making a fool of himself and can't perform on game day.

So rings or no rings, Peyton's a better Quarterback.
