Seems like a good idea to me. Vince knows what he is doing. Get people to buy the network by giving them "free PPVs" and the network. Seems pretty good to me.

I think I have the answer to my question: Vince is pretty much getting rid of PPV formatting? No... Royal Rumble, Wrestlemania, Summerslam, and Survivor Series will be on PPV. The rest will be on WWE Network except for in places where the network will not be offered. I'm TOTALLY for this, because I'll definitely be getting the WWE Network if possible, and I'll get to see PPVs basically for free on top of that.

I think it's a great idea to only have the big 4 as national PPVs. Now I'm looking forward to the WWE Network even more. I can't wait for 2012!

I like it as long as the WWEN is offered around me.

I'm more likely to watch a minor PPV than I am to pay $50 for it and watch it. They should sell a big 4 PPV package at the beginning of the year. Maybe something like a flat rate of $160 if you buy all four or something. I'm interested to see who is getting the WWE Network, especially since WWE is already worrying about people not having it. Wrap that up into my already existing DTV package and I'm good.
I would be good with like 8 PPVs a year honestly.

I love WWE Classic and worry that this plan will be making the price of the WWE Network go up.
I haven't ordered a minor PPV since December to Dismember!

It makes it more like the days of Clash of the champions and Saturday Night Main Event. I love this plan

They're airing PPVs on the WWE network, but still will keep them available on PPV for everyone who doesn't have the network. So, in other words, nothing is changing?
They should get rid of a ton of the useless PPVs they currently have.

Can't wait for another 3 months when everyone starts bitching that their cable company doesn't carry the WWE Network. For one thing the vast majority of you are under 18 and will complain that mommy and daddy won't pay the extra money for channel. As for the rest of you, almost none of you shell out the money for classics on demand, why would this be any different.

so the big 4 will have to be bought and all the others will be available on the WWE network?

I personally love this idea. The buy rates will probably jump a little bit for the big four PPV's, which is a plus for WWE. The viewers won't have to shell out $50 once or twice every month. Its a win/win situation.

are they going to keep the ppv names for others or just call them like SNME or in your house or something?

I think this could be work although it is a gamble.
I really want that network now!
Does this mean that say Extreme Rules won't come out on DVD anymore because if so that sucks considering I buy all the PPVs of the year on dvd.

WWE is one step closer to moving the majority of their national PPVs to their Network
