All Hallows Eve (2013 Movie) probably one of the best horror flicks I've seen in a decade!

OK so I come to you the Horror fans of Wfigs for suggestions. This coming season of my shows we already have about 10 Indie horror films coming on to talk. What are some upcoming horror films you all are looking forward to no matter how big or small and what are your favorite horror of 2013?

There wasn't any great horror movies this year, but there also wasn't a ton of really bad either. Though I did hate Evil Dead.
It's probably a toss up between The Conjuring and Maniac(full release 2013). The Conjuring was generic but well made and effective enough to get the job done. The POV/first person style of film making in Maniac was tremendous. Neat idea and a decent remake at that even though I didn't completely buy into Wood's performace(even if it was mostly off screen).
As far as future films ago. I dunno, it's tough to say. Wide releases of Wolf Creek 2 and The Green Inferno maybe? Bobcat's Willow Creek? The Sacrament? The horror genre really lacks those visonary directors you can rely on to make good movies. It's not like the 80's/90's where you if you heard Cronenberg, Craven or Carpenter making a new flick you immediately get all giddy inside. Those days are gone.

Has anybody seen 'Altered'? Solid low budget monster film from the same dude that directed the first Blair Witch film. Not a "found footage" movie either. I recommend it!

So, Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones wasn't all that bad, yet it's the least-grossing film of the series. Guess EVERYONE is getting sick of the PA movies now. Wonder if the end is near.

I think people are tired of Found footage in general. I think Friday the 13th will make a little cash in name only but I think it won't be very successful if they go that route.

Over and over in my head I have gone over this idea and in no way does it end well.....I would rather have the snowy Crystal Lake sequel than this.

Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones was one of the best ones IMO. Was refreshing to get out of a house and the change of scenery in Mexico was good to see. I thought the Unholy Door travel added a new dimension and enables the Coven to appear in future films without having to really explain and lead up to why they are there.

This thread isn't as alive as it once was I've noticed. Anyways, I watched both the Collector and the Collection for the first time within the last two days. I was surprised how much I enjoyed the movies. I watched the Collection first on Netflix, not knowing it was a sequel then tracked down the first. Good gory thrillers and I'm excited to see where the next one goes. Also, Madeline Zima (From Californication) is built nicely. It's a shame her face and voice aren't that great. And I want more of Emma Fitzpatrick.

I still need to watch The Collection. I liked the first one. Some pretty sweet death scenes in it. Only think that pissed me off was that all of the characters were practically intellectually- disabled.

I just watched "You're Next". I actually thought it was a different movie when I rented it but it was a pleasant surprise. Low budget movie but had a decent plot and some cool death scenes. It's a Lionsgate film. It was one of the better horror movies that I've seen in a long time.
