So, I've been in search of a good book to read lately. Does anyone have any suggestions? I recently finished the book Clown Girl by Monica Drake, and I thought it was pretty good.

The Poisoner's Handbook - True story of how Chuck Norris invented Forensic science in NYC during the Prohibition days.
Sex on the Moon - True story of a guy who stole moon rocks from NASA in order to impress his girlfriend
Devil in the White City - Story of H. H. Holmes, his famous murder house and the 1893 World's Fair in Chicago. (I've not finished this yet, but it's awesome so far.)
In the 'Plex - Biography of Google (Not finished with this yet either, but it's fascinating.)

"A Child Called "It": One Child's Courage to Survive" is Dave Pelzer's autobiographical account of his alleged abuse as a child by an alcoholic mother. Detailing a childhood of not only severe abuse by his mother, but apparent apathy to his plight by his father, A Child Called 'It' describes one of the most severe documented cases of child abuse in California history. Also, the follow up "The Lost Boy"- (Dave Pelzer) details his life growing up through the foster care system.
Very emotional books.

The best book I've ever read was The Great Gatsby. I know many say "I've seen the film," but the best part of it is the fantastic style of Fitzgerald. The other American classic I liked was To Kill A Mockingbird. I also jsut finished the three Assassins Creed books, but they don't really count
