Arn is a great choice now. Gives people more incentive to get the NWA Warriors and Rockers whenever they get released. Hope Tully and Barry at least are coming soon.

I think a Rockers, Brain Busters, Bret Hart set would sell well. I mean Bret is going to sell on its own but what better feud was there then Rockers vs Brain Busters. For older fans (and probably younger fans when they look and go who are these guys) they'll see GREAT matches between the two teams

Originally Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard were listed for Legends 5, as they are in the computer system for the support for the Mattelshop website.
Also, originally One Man Gang was listed for L5, while BamBam Bigelow was listed for L6 (which is why he is listed for that on the Mattel website). Magnum TA and Bundy were both listed for L6, and L7 had listed Million Dollar Man, Rikishi, Farooq, Honky Tonk Man, Papa Shango, and JYD
Assuming the line continues, we will see these figures sometime down the road.

One Man Gang as well would be awesome, for starters the Mattel Akeem headscan was way better than the Jakks one. I'm hoping for his red-trim attire he wore in WCW if they do make him. the others you listed wouldn't interest me however. other than possibly arn as i mentioned earlier in the thread.

I remember seeing those posts as well with the original legends lines for L5 L6 etc. And some of them I liked, some of them I didn't like, but mostly what I noticed was all those lines seemed so random. I'm sure that's what mattel had originally planned but I was surprised and kinda not surprised to not see HBK , Taker, Bret, Andre. I hope they produce all the guys the planned on but put a few anchors in every series. Magnum TA is gonna shelf warm, also rikishi would be a huge pass for me, so I hope they come out later. I hope they make bundy and shango soon

Arn Anderson is a solid edition to the Legends line. he most likely will be in 7 or 8, he needs to be packed 1 per case
case breakdown should be
3 a list bret, HBK, 2 a b type star big boss man, ddp, 1 tough sell Arn Anderson, magnum ta 1 tough sell like above 1 variant of wither the 2 or 3 per caser or a variant of a previous figure One Man Gang, Rick Martel strike force, etc

I saw this and wanted to post but thought we weren't allowed to discuss these items on here. Does this not fall into that basket? Same seller had another proto up last week that was Rick Martel body and accessories but the head wasn't the same Martel that was released. May have been earlier bigger mold but it defo looked different. I used the BINS on Martel ànd Anderson.

What I do find hilarious is that every time an old 80s guy gets brought up we get the old "Oh he's gonna warm shelves. Its not his most "iconic" look...blah blah blah" and then looking at the most recent released Legends series, the "big name" with iconic looks are...back-ordered while the figures that people would say are "bland" or "dont have vibrant colors" or "will warm shelves".....are back order 2 months AFTER the "popular" figures. Interesting.

Fantastic more Legends the better for me. Always liked Arn but may need more research even though Ive seen alot of him I hav'nt really seen to many match's.
The Body obvisoly isnt going to be used with a AA figure. The body is just used as a display for the head same as the body for the BBB jacket.
Not to put a downer on things but he may be cancelled due to the Legends not doing too well. I hope not though.

Interesting. I think the Von Erichs were packed fewer per case than Eddie and Warrior so RSC probably had fewer Von Erichs to sell. Plus RSC caters to wrestling fans who will be more likely to buy less popular figures. Sometimes I think Mattel should do away with the Legends name and call it "Guys who wrestled between 1996 to 2004".

His head kinda looks like Obi Wan Kenobi lol. OH, why is his head pink, his torso black, his trunks blue, his knee pads red, and his boots black? Did he really wear mismatching clothes? I can't really tell if you're being sarcastic or not so I'll bite and let you know that toy companies usually make prototypes of their toys like these, held together by pins and such - all for testing purposes. Obviously Arn didn't wear those colours (or has a pink head in real life). They're just using different plastics and colour dyes. Some guys like to collect protos like this although I can't personally see the appeal. However if a line gets cancelled and these remain unproduced, then they can fetch $BIG$ bucks.

Those are some skinny-ass legs! The sculpt looks decent though.

I'd recommend: War Games 1 with Tully Blanchard vs Midnight Express w/ TB vs The Rockers w/ Larry Zbysko vs Dustin Rhodes/Ricky Steamboat vs Great Muta War Games 92

Interesting. What I find hilarious, hahaha, is that you think that the hardcore collector market is some kind of focus group for mass retail. How's this, go to Mattel Shop where you can find no L5 Macho Man figures but you can still order all of Akeem, Bam Bam, and Martel. I would 100% buy an Arn Anderson, and Tully for that matter, but I see them both as shelf warmers, especially if they are not limited to 1 per case. Arn debuting as a manager, which has been rumored, would greatly help his cause imo because at least he would be relevant to the current audience. Iconic looks and recognizable characters sell. Mattel put way too much stock into the collector market imo, and now we are in a position where the Legends line has been completely revamped because it sold horribly at mass retail. I think we still need guys like Akeem and AA for these sets, and I want them too, but they need to be via piggy back off guys like Macho Man and Bret Hart.

Man I really want an Arn Anderson...really want the brainbusters....but I don't like those part choices for him...hopefully it will change. Arn was a pretty solid guy. He and Tully were 2 of the best ever
