I'm not too big jointed fingers on wrestling figures because it makes it hard to do things like swing a steel chair. Eventually the joint gets loose, and the hands can't firmly hold onto objects anymore. Not to mention, the joint itself can make the hand look pretty ugly.
On the flip side, I remember the last Christopher Daniels fig in TNA Toybiz line; you could extend index and middle fingers while keeping the ring and pinky folded up to do his trademark hand sign. (Think the Hardy Boyz finger taunt.) That was awfully cool.
Movable fingers might work nicely for folks like Cena, Snuka, Roddy Piper, etc.
----
If anything I'd love for Mattel to stop using fists on all their wrestling figures but especially those figures that have handheld accessories.
Steamboat and Roberts have awesome animal accessories, but both figures can't hold their animals with both hands because of useless fists.
Rey Mysterio can't quite grab the ropes for a 619 because of a useless right fist.
---
Also, it'd be amazing if they added double-jointed elbows to Elites.

And now the belts for figures are coming out, you can only use one of the hands to hold the belts!

Title belts didn't come across my mind but that's true too. In Mr. Perfect's case, he's got a towel and the IC belt but only one open hand. Looking at the HBK Elite 7 proto, it comes with two pairs of glowsticks, and you guessed it, one open hand. They had to place the other glowsticks on the ground, lol.

Gosh no. I hated those hands.
I like the fists.
No double jointed elbows please.

I was never a fan of the R3 or ML finger articulation. nor do I want double elbows. I like the articulation as it is.

I agree completely except that they were a pain to have them use chairs

I love the articulation as is, but I wouldn't mind giving Bourne a peace sign, Cena his Cenation hand signal, Or Edge the rock on sign.

if done right this could be great but it could also fail miserably.
