Dusty Rhodes was one of my favorite wrestlers in the NWA but when he came to the WWF wearing this crap and dancing all over the place it was a appalling! I don't know if I can support this with my money, I didn't buy the Jakks version for the same reason. I got the series 10. I just afraid this might be the only Dusty we get. I could make a custom but it's not the same. If I were to make a custom the first thing I would do is give him a damn green elbow pad, it was his staple. Any thoughts?

I would get it and just fix it up a little. I got a second so I can repaint it with the black NWA gear. I wouldnt wait because it may be a matter of years.

You might as well buy it and customize it just in case they don't make anymore.
I personally would love a younger NWA Rhodes or even WWWF Rhodes, you know...one that isn't the size of Texas?

Yeah, the series 13 was pretty bad. I passed on that on too. The 2-pack with Cody wasn't bad. I think I might cave in and make a custom. One white boot from Starrcade, green elbow, mismatch knee pads and some blood.

As a big fan of Dusty, I don't understand all the hate on his WWF days.
That being said, first thing I did when I bought Legends Dusty was acetone off the polka dots, give him some red Jakks knee pads, a different elbow pad and some white wrist tape! As I said, I don't hate his WWF days, but NWA style is the only style for the American Dream

I like Dusty more without the polka dots, but it's an easy enough fix -

I am iffy on that figure as well, but now see them EVERYWHERE. I am waiting in hopes to find one on clearance eventually, especially the HOF version at K-Mart that'll never move.

I'm sure they'll make another Dusty. Hopefully this Dusty.

That's it Slappy! Except I want the white boot that he wore after the ankle break by the Horseman.

Hopefully we get more. The polka dot Dusty is really good, but the gimmick did suck. To bad the HOF Kmart figures weren't repaints with different looks. Dusty would have sold like crazy.
I say just buy the legends 1 and update it with an older Dusty if we get one.
PJ that action shots are awesome. I remember being horrified as a kid watching that.
