I purchased a few Elite style figures off of RSC and received them yesterday. The legs on these figures are so hard to move and don't go back, only forward. The basics are so much easier to play with, anyone else find Elites to be difficult.

Sorry I can't agree. If the joints are stiff, try running them under hot water and moving it around. Elites make some incredible poses.

Yeah when the joints are stiff, I just boil some water and let them soak in for about 2-3 minutes, take them out and the joints are easily movable.

I'm the opposite actually. There really only a handful of basics that I like. I mainly just collect and display but I just think the articulation is great on elites while basics seem to stiff for most wrestlers while the basic style does work on others (i.e. Jericho). There's a few wrestler's basics that I think do not fit them (i.e. Kofi Kingston). Not to mention elites have such better detailing and paint jobs.

I like Basics and I do believe that Elites look pretty cool, but I haven't got into them as I did with DAs in the good old Jakks days. Apart from that, the price difference between an Elite figure and a Basic one is also a turn off for me. I like my toys like I like my hookers, dirt cheap! Just kidding. Really.

I prefer Elites over Basics myself.

Not at all, I bought a basic drew mcintyre and was amazed at how much I hated it. Human legs can't even move that far back, they can however move side to side and twist around

I think elites are good for display or pre match poses but for regular play or posing I like basics better.

I love the Elites, the detail is phenomenal on them. I hope they continue this line for years to come.

I love Elite figures, but i do understand what you mean. To me, Basics seem pretty sturdy and stable, where as Elites seem somewhat flimsy. Now don't get me wrong, I love the extra articulation and playability that elites have to offer, but I'm not a big fan of the "ab-crunch" movement.

I prefer the basics. I do buy a fair amount of the elites to fix up the basic versions. Next I plan on getting the elite Shad to add the head & arms to my Basic Shad. I've also done that to Kofi, Kane, Swagger and a few others.

My only problem with Elites is loose ankles. BUT... I own all of them and only 4 are that way (Undertaker, Mark Henry, Christian, Snuka). So it's not THAT common for me at least. Annoying as h*ll though.

I think you just are not able to bend there legs back because of thge butt cheeks but with real people they can bend back that way anyways, So the elites are actually amazing figures loose ankles are not still great.

At first I decided to collect only Elites, Legends & EGs. But Basics come out with more variety than Elites and are cheaper. One thing I've noticed with Mattel figs ( both Elite and Basic ) is that they tend to lean forward after a certain period of time. You initially display them straight but they tend to lean forward from the ankle.

I prefer the Basics over the Elites. I am not a fan of the ab joint at all.

I used to split my spending on both Elites and Basics, but I've now stopped buying the Basics, and going with the Elites from here on out. The Basics kinda remind me of the old R3 figures Jakks did.

there are several elites I don't like (Miz, Mark Henry, R-Truth, Chris Jericho, and Dolph Ziggler) and then there are several basics i don't like (William Regal & the Hart Dynasty mainly).
Somebody mentioned already about how the elites stand up straight at first and after a while start leaning, I have had that problem with elite Kozlov and Legends 2 Jimmy Snuka, but for the most part the ankle joints haven't been a problem for me.
I have no preference either way, I collect both elite and basic and like them both with the exception of the ones i mentioned already.

Elite figures are a gift from God.
Basics are pretty cool too.. Nothing about these figures bothers me yet honestly.. You can't do a complete leg drop with Basic figures.. But I swear.. I think I'll live..

i buy elites to display and make customs with.... but use basics for parts...
for example.. we arent going to see an elite knox or hurricane.. but ill be damned if i didnt buy both basics and use elite bodies , so i now have elites of both...
so i like elites more.. for the articulation and details.. but will use basics for parts...
