Hey everyone. This question goes out to anyone who has both basic and Elite. At First I collected basic, but the Amazing detail and accessories of Elite won me over. So I sold my basics and have only bought Elite ever since. But I like the basic style EG figures like Piper and M$M, and id like to get just the basic figures of people who were let go, and only had a basic style figure (Hurricane, dreamer, and so on) So my question is, are the Basics and Elite still in scale to each other. Do they play or pose well together. Or since they are different styles are they just to different to mix together? I appreciate any input. Thanks everyone -W82, Keith

They are 100% compatible to each other. They are the exact same body style minus just a couple of extra POA. But I collect both and they all look amazing together.

To add to my repsonse, ALL of Mattel's figures were made in scale with one another. That was one of their selling points when they took over the license. They wanted collectors to purchase all different style of figures and know they would all go well with each other.

DMG0505 pretty much said all there is to say. I collect both and they look just fine together.

At first I was going to pick up elites only but being in scale with each other meant there was no need for me to not pick up both styles. I actually prefer to mix it up because you can get a bit of variation in your collection. e.g. Basic Miz and Jericho are identical in sculpt and therefore will look pretty boring in the same collection whereas if you've got an elite Jericho and basic Miz, they're two totally different figures.

Here is a Basic R Truth next to an Elite R Truth. As you can see they are the same exact height. MATTEL 4 LIFE!
