****Update Mattel has NO REPLACEMENT PARTS! They were rude and insisted I send it back (I pay the shipping) and then they would refund me the 59.99 not including tax and shipping charges. I would in turn then have to buy another one and pay shipping again! Mattel really sucks with this customer service. On a side note I called Ringside and they went out of there way to try and assist me. They offered me CSDA ring skirts (which don't fit to well ) I declined and truly appreciate there level of customer service.****
First off this ring is awesome. That being said did anyone else encounter this problem: When I was putting the apron on (following the instructions) I got to the 3rd post and the elastic around the second post snapped. So now needless to say there's only apron on 2 sides and two sides are flopping around. I really think that the elastic was kinda weak to begin with and the instructions have you putting it over the corner posts rather than putting it in place and sliding the post bottom through it.
So did anyone else have the elastic break for the apron? (I do plan to call Mattel and hope they will assist me).

I didn't have that problem although I also found it awkward to stretch the elastic over the ring posts and go over the 12 turnbuckle connectors.
My only issue really is that the clips aren't very tight. The canvas can slip and slide, bunching up on one end while slipping out of the other end. I'd like a perfectly stretched mat with tight clips to hold it in place.

Yes, eventually the honeymoon with Mattel will be over, people will stop bashing the ex (Jakks) and realize she wasn't that bad in the sack, and that yeah, the new one has really cool details but doesn't move so well...

Had to call in my gf to help hold it tight as I clipped, and it still bunched up!

Maybe the original poster should change his name, lol.
At least Jakks would have sent you a replacement part.
Enjoy your Mattels.

No my name is appropriate as it pertains to the product (my opinion only I know not everyone feels the same way). I am upset with the end result of my call with Mattel today though. Please call and voice your opinion if your cheap aprons have broke.

BTW the jakks CSDA aprons fit this ring kinda. You have to stretch them and they have a little empty space at either end but for now since mine broke these aprons will do.

why not just repair the elastic? Elastic bands are super cheap to get.

why not just repair the elastic? Elastic bands are super cheap to get. Right you are, my wife is actually doing that now. The real concern would be : Why not make them of higher quality so this doesn't happen. Its not some cheap $15 ring you know?

I did have a bad one and then I got a worse one....The supervisor Bob Brady. These guys are not in tune with whats going on and offer no resolve.Good luck though.Bob Brady could care less about any of mine or your concerns and you will hear that in his tone of voice if you speak with him.
