Here you are. Sorry it took so long. Its not the best bca custom I've done. I used the Sid torso originally, but it looked really weird for some reason. Chicago you might enjoy this... So I was working on some Mattel HBK fix ups, and I was needing a set of the black boots to go on my Network Spotlight HBK to make a quick and easy 96 era fix up. I used the boots from the WMania 14 HBK figure (WMania 30 Elite) and just added the white boots from the Network Shawn to that figure so I could keep up with them. When I put them on there, I was really liking the look of it and couldn't understand why. Then it hit me.....I had made an unintentional BCA throw back I do enjoy this. Clearly, Jakks and Mattel produced superior WrestleMania XIV-based Shawn Michaels figures in the years since, but I love the BCA take on it in DTA Tour Series 1/Best of '98 Series 1. As for Razor, I think you made the right choice. That's the Off The Mat Austin torso, correct? Would you ever consider repainting Razor into his SummerSlam 1995 attire? A corrected Superstars Series 1 HBK with a repainted ring gear Razor would make for a hell of a custom BCA 2-pack. Yeah, I'm pretty sure thats the figure it was from. I can't say for sure though as it was in my parts box. I have thought about repainting a Razor but haven't talked myself into it yet. I may give it a shot though, because you are correct that would be an awesome 2 pack. Maybe even add a IC Title and one of the ladders from the new Network Spotlight HBK.

Has anyone ever made a dudley boys or hardy boys custom bca. I am thinking about trying it out not sure what parts to use. If anyone has pics they would be appreciated. I posted some on page 205. They're not mine, but I would highly recommend them. I've seen dozens throughout the years. It depends on how heavily influenced you are by post-BCA era figures. Do you want to use only original BCA parts? Because if you use TTL or New BCA parts, you will have infinitely more options. I would like to use BCA parts because I am not what you would call a skilled fixer upper and mixing TTL parts and all that might be tough for me. I wish I could find someone to make some customs for me.

What would be the best kind of paint recommended for BCA customs? When I started I used Painters paint markers. Those were fine at the time for what I needed them for, making quick and easy custom BCAs to play with. But I've since moved to brush on paints, because I think it looks better. I use Apple Barrel, Folk Art, and Americana paints. I think just about any of the little bottle paints should work. The problem you'll probably have is what sealer to use. Every sealer I've used on them left them a little sticky feeling because of the rubbery material they are made of.

That XIV Hunter is freaking awesome. How the hell haven't I seen that? Maybe because it was a Toys"R"Us exclusive in the summer of '98. I love the packaging and one-off display stands included in the WrestleMania XIV singles set, but the selection of figures in that wave leave a lot to be desired. Proto Singles: MOC Singles: Proto 4-Pack: MIB 4-Pack: MOC 3-Packs (BJ's Wholesale Club re-releases; no Rocky Maivia): Had they held off a few months and released the WrestleMania XIV series in the fall of '98, the lineup may have featured LOD 2000, Austin in ring gear, HBK in red DX tights, a bulkier HHH sculpt etc.

That'd do it.

I received this MOC Backlash Series 2 X-Pac figure in the mail recently, and it got me to thinking about the other BCA X-Pac figures in my collection. Altogether, I've got 14 loose along with the one new figure which I'll probably keep MOC, so that makes 15 total for me. I decided to take some pictures of my loose BCA X-Pac figures to share on here, and I hope that you all enjoy the little trip down memory lane. However, before we get to the loose pics, let's take a look back at all of X-Pac's BCA figure releases from January 1999 to October 2001. Note: I've included some, but not all, of the known packaging variations. I'll get to those later. Click the spoiler tag for more ... Superstars Series 7 (Item #84403) (Released January 1999) BJ's Wholesale Club Exclusive 3-Pack (Item #82993) (Released March 1999) Live Wire Series 2 (Item #84522) (K-Mart Exclusive) (Released March 1999) King of the Ring Break Down: In Your House Series 1 (Item #80582) (Released May 1999) BJ's Wholesale Club Exclusive 3-Pack (Released May 1999) Sam's Club Exclusive Superset 4-Pack (Released May 1999) King of the Ring Grudge Match Series 2-Pack (Item #82340) (Released May 1999) Special Edition Series 5 (Item #80334) (KB Toys Exclusive) (Released July 1999) Fully Loaded Series 2 (Item #80596) (Released July 1999) DTA Tour Series 3 (Asst. #84465) (Wal-Mart Exclusive) (Released August 1999) Signature Series 4 "Blue Edition" with Blue Signature (Item #80955) (Released September 1999) Signature Series 4 "Blue Edition" with White Signature (Item #80955) (Released September 1999) KB Toys Exclusive 3-Pack (Released September 1999) Perfect 10 10-Pack (Item #81429 with Blue/Yellow Box Art) (Toys"R"Us Exclusive) (Released October 1999) Perfect 10 10-Pack (Item #97500 with WrestleMania 2000 Box Art) (Toys”R”Us Exclusive) (Released October 1999) Championship Title Series (#2) 4-Pack (Item #89008) (Toys"R"Us Exclusive) (Released October 1999) Backlash Superstars Series 1 (Item #W80760) (KB Toys/Family Dollar Exclusive; released September 2000) Backlash Superstars Series 2 (Item #W80750) (KB Toys/Family Dollar Exclusive; released November 2000) Backlash Superstars Series 5 (Item #W91320) (KB Toys/Family Dollar Exclusive; released October 2001) ... and for the sake of not stretching out the page too much, here are the pictures of my loose BCA X-Pac figure collection.

Does anyone have a full set of every BCA style steel chair released? I have a fair few myself, but I know I'm still missing loads.
I'm on about the ones with wrestler's logos on them etc.

Hey guys, I freaking love bca's and I was so happy when I discovered this thread a couple months back. Bca has always been my favorite line for some reason even though they've made other lines with better articulation and better resemblance to the actual wrestler. I actually started buying figures after bca and only when mattel took over did I start again. But enough about me, I have a question for you guys who are more knowledgeable than me. What type of paint works well with the rubber on these figures for customization. The rubber on the limbs and head always gives me trouble as it ends up discoloring and cracking. Any suggestions?

I think, because of the rubbery/bendy nature of the arms and legs, over time any paint I've used seems to crack. When I first started customizing I used Painters paint markers. They didn't cover as well as the bruss on paints that I use now, but I don't remember then cracking as bad. But then again I would paint one, wrestle with it for a while and then paint a different attire on it, so it may not have had time to crack.

At any rate I shall try try again!!!

Welcome to the thread. There have been many great examples of BCA custom figures shared in here over the years, so definitely do check out the backlog of pages when you get the chance. I hope that we'll soon be able to add your name to the list of active BCA customizers. I am not among them, but you'll be in good company with someone like ellisd around. How long have you been customizing BCA figures? Do you have any favorite customs of yours? Any that you'd like to share?

Thank you for the warm welcome, I got back into collecting these things about 3 yrs ago, and as for customizing I have not done anything special, (I have seen some examples of the fine work done by the members of this board. I am jealous.) but it sure is a lot of fun. As for sharing with the group, I am not too confident in my customizing skills just yet but hopefully in time I will get there. Besides most of the stuff I've done has cracked or discolored as previously mentioned.

Yeah i've used a couple different sealers with varying degrees of success. I think my problem is more so knowing which type of paint to use. Ive been using that acrylic apple barrel stuff from walmart. Maybe I need to use a latex type paint for the rubber?
