I collected WWE Deluxe, so once the TNA DI line pops up, I'll look at the MOC stuff before purchasing.
Although I'll end up getting Styles and Sting no matter what.

I try to be optimistic, but it's really hard after seeing this lazy 6th grade last-minute science project setup that Jakks put out at TOYFAIR Seriously...cardboard pictures? ? I couldn't help but laugh at the unreleased DA Kurt Angle picture in the belt/figure box. The Series 1 Angle, Sting, Styles, etc. all look pretty much like what I expected from Jakks. However I really am surprised after all this time they haven't designed anything new for their Deluxe wrestling figure bodies. They made the awesome looking UFC Deluxe torso & arm mold...why not use that here??? They are still sticking with the horrendous "snow boot" short kickers and the ballooned up biceps. I'm also confused why the "live" figure of Nash looks one way...but the packaged one looks different. The one actually in the 2 pack looks much much better and I hope it stays like that. Again, their strong points are the headscans...Steiner looks awesome, Sting is perfect, even AJ looks great. It seems like for some of the guys they are using the right parts to their capabilities. I understand no one has a ripped chest in real life that looks like their DA molds...but that sort of thing really doesn't bother me. The "Legends of the Ring" packaging looks like crap. If that is going to be their "Classic Line" I am very disappointed in the MOC carding. Nothing stands out, it's almost no different than the regular lines. I read what Tom put about the current DA figures being used as EXAMPLES and breathed a sigh of relief. I don't think Jakks is that stupid enough to put a current day Kevin Nash in a "Legends" box. I am completely, totally, utterly disgusted with the fact that Jakks is seriously wasting their time, money & effort on these ATROCIOUS "Havoc" style figures TNA & Wrestling Superstarz. Those are a disgrace to the wrestling figure universe. In closing...these are all just "samples" and who knows how they will look in closing. But if Jakks really wanted to create excitement for their upcoming TNA line (which is what Toyfair is for) they completely FAILED. I can't get excitied knowing their history of cheaping out & being lazy...but I'll be waiting to see that Deluxe Sting & AJ Styles up for order on Ringside or on the pegs in stores before I really pass full judgement. The only thing positive is that RA or DA they will all fit with my current WWE Jakks collection. Great post, and I have to agree with you every step of the way...I too try to be optimistic, but everything that they do that I would be interested in is a huge letdown; and seeing all this has furthered this thought, a real shame...

Wow. An entirely new contract with Tna and jakks reused body molds.. Team 3d cannot and will not fit in that sandman body.. I'd be pissd off if I was in charge if tna toyline. The toys shoul reflect the characters and not the body types being forced to fit the figure.. Curse you jakks

Boxset of Abyss, Angle, Suicide and Sting = RA LMMFAO at all the people who sold off their RA collections when Jakks said DA (but not really, 'cause, hey, $3 for Evil Doink was an AWESOME deal) The "bootleg" looking series looks cool if only because I'd buy it if I saw it in stores and it was made by some toy company I didn't know. The guys are almost close enough in scale to RA figures to be used as jobbers in feds with your RA WWE (and now apparently TNA) figures.
I just wish Jakks would give up on the micro aggression sized style, for both TNA and UFC. Though the UFC guys are kind of cool, nothing should be smaller than G.I. Joes (3 and 3/4")
And if these Steiner and Nash figures are the Legends Of The Rings figures for real (As in, the same ones in the two pack also), then that is so freakin' weak that Jakks just needs to give Series 1 no distro to save themselves the embarassment and give us a much, much better Series 2. (Though I'm pulling for a good Sting and Jarrett)

Well, I sure do hate Jakks even more now. We saw 75% of these a few months ago, and within that time frame, Jakks somehow still couldn't get around to displaying the actual physical figures in person, instead, they continued to present us with picture cutouts that are pasted on the packaging.
Ugh...

Superstarz of the Ring shows how low they have become. These TNA Figures are shocking, not even a Real Scale Ring or RA Figures.

I like how the first post says rejoice! Hahaha. It should've said rejects or better yet, re-think collecting. These protos are are like the Rock says. They absolutely suck! I guess Jakks didn't get it with all the Deluxe figures collecting dust on Toys R Us shelves. I can't speak for everyone but I don't think the majority of collectors play with these figures. So why keep making them poseable? I was so excited to see these protos but wow, what a letdown. Jakks I got two words for ya, EPIC FAIL!!! Do you listen to the customer? RA, RA, RA, RA, RA, RA, RA, RA, RA. Again unless you didn't hear, RA. Who's in charge of these decisions? He or she needs to be fired and give the fans and collectors what they want not crappy DA. This new lineup could have been so sweet but turned out to be sour. Thanks again Jakks. Oh, and bravo on making more dollar tree figures. Wow, some of these can't even sell for a dollar. Jakks rules! Whoever keeps making the decision to make DA figures should be working at Dollar Tree. Epic Failure.

I laugh at the 'serious' collectors here who aucturally expected new molds and such, honestly it's like you've all been brain washed by mattel into thinking that it's an expectation to have all 'unique' body molds (Which mind you I don't recall Batista, John, Randy and HHH being so ripped, same for Truth's upper torso.) Any who I'll be picking up most of them seeing as they'll fit in with my other DAs perfectly and considering that I missed out on the Toybiz (?) figures.

My god, Bubba is awful, that championship Angle is a WWE proto, Nash has gloves, Foley and Samoa Joe are the same size and still taller than the rest of the roster i bet.
I'm starting to think that all Jakks is good at are the headscans
