I've been a strong Jakks supporter, and I'm sure I will continue to buy plenty of Jakks figures but Mattel have really shown them up here.

I think these look terrible, especially Team 3D. Buh buh's body type and headscan are just plain wrong and D-von has a double chin but has a slim neck and body? Head doesn't fit the body, so a bit awkward. Steiner's scan looks......well, weird. Not impressed.

Dear TNA: I'm sorry that by signing with Jakks, you also inherited WWE's sloppy seconds... It's not like that's anything new to them...

Well done, sir. I think this sums it up. I would go a step further, though, and ask how these are any different from the protos we saw late last year? Back then, people were coming out of the woodwork to panic over how awesome they were and how Jakks had destroyed Mattel with these. Where are those people now? I thought they sucked back then and they haven't changed - well, AJ looks like a version of himself from 15 years from now. This isn't a fault of Jakks, but it sucks for them that TNA has undergone so much change lately. It's hard enough to keep toys current to wrestling under normal circumstances. All of these seem so outdated now, even down to the packaging. Makes you wonder if anyone from TNA gave them a heads up on anything. Also, will Hogan ask them to drop the 6-sided ring from the packaging so people won't keep complaining about four sides?

These are terrible. I was going to get Sting, now I do not even want him. What is with the oversized heads? Also, where are the MOC figures for TNA Series 1? I thought Series 1 is expected to be released in May. In addition, the LOTR carding and figures? look hideous. Why is Nash so big? What is with those new leg molds? Also, forget about the stupid micro figures. You should be placing more emphasize and focus on your main product line. Everything is sloppy. Jakks has taken a nose dive. I would honestly restructure the entire creative team.

I hate to say that, but I will stop collecting figures we call "Classics" . Classics are dead . LOTR is a major let-down. Packaging is horrible. And what about the figs ? Scott Steiner NWA version, huh ?Total Jackass IK right The only thing I gotta say after this is : you jeremy and you jakks

My #1 concern was for the makeup of and packaging for the LOTR line. Regarding the packaging, how can they go from the iconic black and gold foil to... THIS?!! The only thing missing is the "Fla-vor-rite" label. Frankly, I'm a little sleepy from having looked at this.
Regarding the makeup of the LOTR line, I doubt there will be one at all. If the wrestling die-hards are giving a resounding "thumbs-down" to the regular issue TNA lineup, who are they going to sell to? By the time November comes around, I bet Jakks will be considering pulling out of the wrestling figure business entirely.

Sales will be the ultimate factor in determining whether or not it is feasible for Jakks/TNA to continue producing TNA wrestling figures. TNA does not generate much revenue from their wrestling product as it is. The whole point of producing wrestling figures is to generate another stream of revenue. If the product is not successful, it will ultimately come down to the structure of the Jakks/TNA contract. In my opinion, Toybiz/Marvel, from what I saw in another post, was doing a better job with TNA in 2007.

Wow. I don't really hate the figures, but they suffer from the limitations of the DA part set (make some new molds please) and Jakks tendency to ruin good headsculpts with crazy expressions.
But the entire presentation looks like they just didn't give a damn. The half-assed photo shop. The psuedo RA guys in the "limited articulation" pack. And what the hell are those bootleg looking things!? Whose idea was that, because he should be straight fired. If they had done it with RA parts, it would have been great for customizers, but as is, I don't even know what to say.
I don't know if this is due to them not caring, or having a more limited budget with the smaller license. At least the UFC figures look pretty good.

As a die-hard Classic Superstars collector, I will keep on doing so, but after I am done with completing that series, I am done with Jakks! After the pictures we've all seen, I also have to admit that this is truly crap! I mean: * Team 3-D looks just plain terrible! * Scott Steiner looks like a 90-year old grandpa that comes right of the retirement-house! * the 2-pack of Joe and Foley; two big guys and then those skinny legs? * why is it that every time I look at Angle, I see a screaming Nathan Jones in front of me?? * a Hulkamania wrestling-ring?? * ....shall I go on?? Anyway....EPIC FAIL!

The presentation shows uncertainty and lacks concrete vision.

That is piss poor but to be honest why are people surprised look at the poor job jakks have done the last year year and a half. THey cleatly were still selling well at retail despite the lack of effort, however this was with the WWE household name the TNA line will in no way sell as well. This is not be being anti TNA its just me being realistic.
Jakks have let there supporters on here down big time even people who stood by them despite the clear lack of effort.
