I will get bashed by many for this post, but so be it. I don't want to see anyone possibly get screwed over. There's another Warrior proto up for grabs out there. I'm calling shenanigans. Sorry to the seller, but to see this many Warriors pop up over the past year is way too weird. Unless you took home all the protos (which is possible), this makes what the 3rd of this paint style. Throw in the fact that we haven't heard a peep since those other Hasbros protos went for sale, mighty strange indeed. Heck he worked for Hasbro as a model maker, time to make some at home

at least he took the time and came to this board and explained himself more than he needed to. If he never took the time to come to these boards, then call him a fake. Plus he says its his last one. He's not even a fan of action figures. He could have cared less. PLUS it looks like his job was more than a headache than something to be enjoyed and have fond memories of. Its quite possible that there will NEVER be another hasbro employee that will come to these boards and talk figures. i think we should be very thankful and appreciative of badgerboy. BK

Well, I should verify with UltimoGringo but I think there's more than one prototype per figure to be used in publication, toyfairs etc.

I've emailed him in the past just to know if he had some others protos to sell, after the second ultimate warrior proto he sold to judge out of the bay and the third bought by Hasbromaster, but he never answered me... Anyway I think he's a genuine seller and he might have at home more than 3/4 warrior protos...this time I will not spend as much as I have spent for SGT proto though... But...I think Hasbromaniac can be right to have some doubts..it would be quite easy from a former model Hasbro maker to make every 5/6 months new protos...

I agree with th OP here. This guy is just making new 'prototypes' and selling them on as originals. Sure they are still great to won, but no more legitimate than any of us making them ourselves.
The lack of information Brian was willing to give any of us to the questions we asked only goes to back this up further. How conveniently he vanished once he realised the level of knowledge the guys here have about the Hasbro line makes it pretty obvious.

I very strongly disagree, I feel 100% that these have all been the real deal. To say there customs, and that there easy to do is silly, ex hasbro employee or not. He has no interest in wrestling at all, so why would he answer the 100s of questions I'm sure he was asked by us lot? Ive been expecting the 4th and final one he has, and here it is!

I'm not saying they are customs or easy to produce.
What I am saying is that he has the ability to take a piece of clay that costs about £4 maximum, and turn it into a figure that will sell for several hundred/thousand pounds.
The questions people asked him weren't about wrestling, they were about the figures that he spent a fair amount of his adult life working on.
The facts are that he came here to convince the collectors that are likely to pay the highest amounts that he was legitimate, and once he felt he had provided enough of a backstory he disappeared. Since this time, prototype figures which were previously considered rare have begun to appear in abundance.
Those are the facts. Anything further is purely speculation.

I have had numerous conversations with Brian since I won the Original prototype and can confirm that he owned a selection of protos - this being his final one. When I won the 1st one a while back (yellow mask warrior proto) I asked if he has anymore and he informed me he did in storage. Since then he has listed them all - as you will remember he has sold - Warrior Proto (Yellow Mask) Warrior Proto (Purple Mask) Typhoon Proto Earthquake Proto Sgt Slaughter Proto Warrior Proto (Purple Mask) - to me in a private deal and now finally Warrior Proto (Purple Mask) I have known about this final proto for some time and also knew he was planning to list it in the New Year along with some other non wrestling related items. I have spoke to him since he sold the other pieces and he has only ever said that he has this one Warrior left. We know that about 14 of these were produced for promotional purposes - without a doubt i'm confident the items he sells are legit - and this is the final wrestling hasbro piece we are going to see from Brian. Back on October 1st Brian sent me this in response to if he had any other prototypes left when the second Warrior proto went up for auction - I have 3 ultimate warriors left (one is up for auction), one Sgt. Slaughter, one Earthquake and one Typhoon. As we know the Warrior sold in auction, I brought the second one outside of auction and that left one which is up for sale now. I know there is bound to be alot of doubt given there are now '4' Warrior protos out there but Brian told me this one was always going to be listed in the New Year..... I can appreicate peoples concern over this figure coming up for auction but I for one was always aware it was going to be listed. After this proto has gone we won't be seeing anymore..... Judge

Like I said; a figure probably has a couple of prototypes and Judge just confirmed this!
Tibbo; the man was overwhelmed by all the questions and rightfully so! Besides with all those sceptic kids (including you!) no wonder he's moving on in life and selling the hasbro prototypes he has! Can't blame the guy...
If those crazy collectors bid silly amounts it's a nice retirement for him! He's a freakin' hero!

Judge I'm personally very very happy about Judge's background info...as I told before I've been trying for quite a lot having some more details about more protos and here that's what I was waiting for...Thanks again Judge, really appreciated! +1

For all those doubters, answer me this....
If you had the ability to knock these figures up quite easily having been an ex-hasbro employee. Why would you make four of the same figure?
Also, why would he now say this is his last prototype?
Ok if there were doubts and he was faking them then he could disapear for a year and come back when people are less suspicious but now that he has stated that its his last we'd all be very suspicious if another one cam up.
I'd say i'm 80% sure they're genuine, however I will not be parting with $300+ to get one.

Wait.... dont the prototypes have a hole with a screw in the back !!! I mean you would have to have a lot of patience to make it look that realistic!!!! I think it's legit and maybe people say its not so the price won't go so high ..... but I think the price is anyway !!!!

I'm no hasbro expert (Some people here just astonish me about their info) but I do know alot about wrestling figures and This whole thing just comes down to Opinions... 1). You believe the guy is legit and give him hundreds of dollars or 2). You don't believe him and save hundreds of dollars.. It's very simple it could be true and it's also very simple that it's a made up story assembled very well (shoot all it takes is for the guy to know some inside work as a toy designer not necessarily hasbro or such) and he never showed any pics that confirmed where he was, shoot I can take pics of a building at my work and lay around some stuff and say it was a certain place (to take pictures of a place where you work seems kinda odd to me, considering he already claimed it was just a job and he was never into toys, how many of you have taken pictures of where you work and on top of that keep them for nearly 20 years???), This whole thing seems to fishy to me, I agree with the previous persons post... He came here to convice collectors he was legit and once he found out he had bitten off more then he could chew with these hasbro maniacs he bolted out of here, NEVER really providing ANY real background information to his knowledge (except for the fact of the paint procedure but famous "customizer" Rozz knows exactly what the guy was saying so does that make Rozz a ex-hasbro employee? ).. Like I said It's just a matter of opinion...........

It's tough to believe that 4 Warrior protos were in the hands of one person and in that nice condition. The above statement does make sense to me though. I am disappointed that we learned very little or anything about the Hasbro line from badgerboy. Badgerboy, I do thank you for sharing your past in regards to toy making, but hoped, like many others here that you could shed some light on the WWF line. Oh well, maybe we'll get the inside scoop from another hasbro employee in the future.
