I know this has always been a discussed topic but its been bugging me a bit as my opinion always changes whether the mailaway and the standard purple hearted bret 1 are easily distinguishable.
I knew it had neon tights and I had always assumed the skin tone was darker across the whole figure but there's a couple on ebay at the moment where you can clearly see the difference between the face shade and the body shade. The face looks like the one from the standard bret 1 while the body is more the shade of the bret 2.
Does anybody who has got the mailaway notice this on theirs?

I have been noticing this too. A really paler face. I'm looking at mine too. I dont know if my bret it a KB toys purple heart or the mail away. I have the paler head, darker body and receding hairline and different color pink. I had a KB purpler heart MOC, and i SHOULD have look at something before i sold it....THE HAIRLINE. I think that could be the difference maker when telling if you have a mail away bret or a KB toys bret. Is that KB toys bret the same as a mail away or does it differ in certain ways. I would like to know the difference between a KB purple heart and a mail away bret in the following areas: Hairline Head/body color shade difference. Differences of the shade of pink on glasses/wristbands/pants.

When you check the database, you'll see the carded one also has the receiding hairline.

I see a Bret Hart Mailaway on Ebay right now but I question it's legitimacy. The bag is a lot bigger than any I've seen before. Can anyone tell me if they have a bagged Bret Hart mail away thats in a bigger bag?

Can anyone tell me if they have a bagged Bret Hart mail away thats in a bigger bag? My bret mailaway has a quite big bag but it's 100% legit! Have a look in my thread and tell me what do you think about!

I'll try and take some pictures later of my 2 loose Brets, I've never been sure about my purple hart Bret, i got it for under £10 loose and i've always just classed it as a purple hart Bret not a mailaway Bret. There is a clear difference in the pink colouring, the purple hart is neon compared to the standard release, this is much more visible on the glasses. there is a receding hairline on the purple hart version too. I'll just watch MUFC come back in the second half (TOP OF THE LEAGUE, UNITED, UNITED TOP OF THE LEAGUE!) then i'll post pictures

No, we are top of the league Paul - just not the Premier League any more (Newcastle) Back on topic - Blimey, I didn't realise the difference. In that picture you can really notice the neon pink, and also the two different shades of skin tone! Are all purple Brets like this, including the carded ones?

There was a photo knocking about on here that showed all three and there were clear differences between the mailaway and the standard purple heart one.
Just cant quite track it down at the mo....

I've just been studying the two carded versions and there's definatelty 100% a few differences between them aside from the obvious Heart colour and hairline. The skin tones are completely different when you look close, and the pink on the normal one is much duller ( especially noticeable on the shades ) up to the Purple Heart version.
Going by the pictures, the mail away looks different again.

It seems clear there are differences between both carded versions - but is there a difference between Purple and Mailaway, that's the question! Did anyone on here win this? cgi.EBAY LINK NOT ALLOWED.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120514011823&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

There is a comparison of all 3 Brets in this thread - wfigs.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=wfnj&thread=156877&page=1I can't stress enough though that you really have to have the figures in your hand to tell the difference properly. I would never try to tell from an Ebay photo. There are only a handful of collectors that I consider expert enough to take their word for a loose Hart being a legit mailaway.
