I'm not going to post live auctions but i've just been on eBay and seen a figure is described as, and i quote..
"c8 condition but half re-sealed by the previous owner"
now my understanding of "C8" is mint - near mint condition. Now i don't know who the seller is (and i don't know if he/she is a board member) but surely if your going to say "c8 condition but half re-sealed by the previous owner" you might as well say "absolutely perfect figure, card is factory quality with a bit of damage and a few rips!"
Sorry to rant but it seems like the grading on some of the listings at the moment is ridiclous

Steve-xx does this all the time. C-8 but i stuck some card over the foreign part of the card(??).
The AFA ratings are probably the only ones I ever trust. I learn more by studying the photos than I do from the descriptions.

Actually It's me who wrote "C8 but half re-sealed".. I wrote c8 because card is near mint with no creses or cracks and the figures is perfect even if has a yellow snake and it has been resealed before. I bought this figure from a member of this board as "new" but I would not list it as new due the fact I think is re-sealed! And by the way I've payed it for new (around 150 Euros) and later I found out that it was probably re-sealed!

C8 to me (and i'm sorry if i'm wrong on this) means no creases or warping of the card, maybe minor wear on the corners or a bend in the hook etc. I'm not going to say nymore about it because it's a live auction, and to be honest it wasn't just that auction i've seen many over the past year or (like steve-xx's Warrior #3) that just don't have a suitable grading
