As i'm interested, and I know a lot of you spend a lot of time hunting down the bargains, I thought it'd be a good opportunity to share a few stories on everyone's best finds and bargains.
I think mine would have to be the Hulk 2 mailaway which I picked up in a bag as part of a lot of about 12 figures which as a lot sold for £7. I think I subsequently sold the Hogan for £100.
Another one that springs to mind is a big lot of 25 green carded figures which totalled just over £300 from Belgium.
I subsequently went to one of the Barry Potter Toy Fairs we have here in the UK and sold eighteen of them to a dealer to make my money back and get an Ultimate Warrior LJN thrown in. The other seven went in to my collection at no cost.
Unfortunately these transactions go back a few years and I don't get enough time to search and buy. I think there's more competition out there these days as well.
Can't beat that feeling of picking up a great bargain though.

Wrestling related: I just won Gordon Solie's book (autographed), Ox Baker's Cookbook (autographed) and the "Whatever Happened to Gorgeous George" book. He also threw in amateur photos of Florida wrestlers from the early 60s. Total: $48.56.
Not wrestling related: I was the winner on a near mint Remco Mini Monsters Play Case. The ad only had pictures of the case. The description said he'd include a few figures as well. I bought it for $70. When it arrived, the 6 figures were mint on the card! The whole deal was probably worth $200-$300.

My bargains include a loose 123 kid. I paid £7 for 12 hasbro's and he was included. A mailaway Hulk #2 for £25 and 10 mocs for £3.99 included were Brutus #1 with butterfly hook and Hogan # 2 with Butterfly hook.
Also I have picked up the odd WWF DVD for £4.99 and sold it for £25

Yep about 5 years ago. Belgium was a haven for me at that time. Picked a lot up of 30 odd figures with a yellow ring for around 30 euros at around the same time.
Ah the good days

Picked up a lot last summer for about $600 that included 40 Hasbros. I was about 20 or so away from completing my set and this took care of a good chunk of them. All were US MOC and included:
Warrior #3 Complete Series 1 set Brutus #2 Undertaker #2 Owen Hart Macho #3 Koko B. Ware Texas Tornado Jim Neidhart IRS Doink Hacksaw Boss Man #2 Mr. Perfect Typhoon Snuka Greg Valentine Macho #4 Hulk #2 & 3 M$M #2 Piper Earthquake Honky Tonk Man Scott Steiner Bushwhackers LOD Rockers Nasty Boys
At an average of $15 apiece, not a huge steal by any means but definitely a bargain considering how many pieces I was able to use to complete my collection. Plus I was able to transfer some of them into my collection that were in better shape than the ones I already had.
Now I'm only missing Dusty and I'll be done with my US MOC set!

I got a loose Hulk Hogan Mailaway for $5 off of Ebay a few years ago. It was listed simply as Hulk Hogan Hasbro figure. I also got a Sgt Slaughter LJN for $5 at a local flea market. Sold that for $100. British Bulldog hasbro test shot I got off of Ebay for $16. And finally I got 59 LJN figures including the entire black card series with doubles of Warlord, Bossman, and Rude. I got that for $125 when Ebay started the buy it now feature. It was just a giant pile of figures, but I could see some black cards so I bought it. All figures had their accessories except the bossman figures had no nightsticks! Only thing I am missing in my collection. I eventually sold alot of them off and traded them for MOC hasbros. I even traded the Kamala I got in the lot for my Yellow Boots Dusty

My best buy was 53 MOC Hasbros for arround £350 from the US.. About 15-20 were pictured, the rest was pot luck. It was last year, and i remember it well. A massive box turned up one morning and i started to open it. Every figure was seperately wrapped in bubble wrap, it was so much fun opening them to see what was coming next, nothing will ever beat that feeling collecting wise. Included amonst many others were Dusty Summerslam, Warrior 3, Demolition Summerslam and Andre. There was not one double Worked out at 6.60 a figure..Happy days!

Most of my bargains were from flea markets, but I did get the Hyper Heroes Great Muta (black) and Jushin Liger (red/white) together MOC for 20 dollars. I see both go for over that individually.

One of my favourite stories to tell -
Several years ago, a lovely woman from San Jose, CA posted three WWF LJN figures in their original boxes.
They were SD Jones red shirt, Magnificent Muraco and Bret Hart in indvidiual packages. I don't recall the starting price for each - but I quickly proposed a $25US purchase price for each.
She said, and I'm paraphrasing - as long as you take all three, we have a deal!
I literally walked her through the international shipping process - and within days, I had a WWF LJN Bret Hart MIB - along with 2 bonus figures.
Needless to say - I quickly flipped all three and made a 4000% profit! It was really 'the one' sale that started the ball rolling for me. Just don't see this anymore.

I would love to have one but I can't justify spending the money when i've been out of work for almost 2 years now. Maybe somewhere down the road i'll pick one up when i'm back to work and the kids, 4 of them, are older. I was able to find a Big Trouble in Little China Jack Burton figure that i've been looking for since they were first announced. Bob

I recently got a classic WWF IC title replica for about $175 or so. Not a steal, but a pretty great bargain.

VHS tapes are basicly worthless these days, and that particular box set had very poor tape quality. Expect your tapes to deteriate on their own, and become unwatchable after 3 or 4 watches.. I've got quite a few really amazing deals on books and DVDs. A few DVDs for $1 or less with free shipping. Those are always fun

I've got quite a few really amazing deals on books and DVDs. A few DVDs for $1 or less with free shipping. Those are always fun I don't know where you've heard that about VHS, but I have to respectfully disagree with you on this one. VHS tapes are far from worthless. They may not be the format of choice today, but there are still ones that hold a lot of value. Last year, I sold a well-used rental copy of NWA Clash of the Champions 1 for almost $200. And they certainly won't be unwatchable after 3 or 4 plays. If they were, video rental stores would have seriously been hurting. I have tapes that I've had for more than 20 years that have deteriorated, but are far from unwatchable. I'd say a more likely comparison would be that they would go from looking like something that was recorded in SP mode to something recorded in EP mode.
