Back in the late 80's and early 90's there was this mystery toy wrestling ring that I had and it was not affiliated with WWF or WCW, I think it was white and it had stickers on the side of the ring of people in a crowd to make it look like the ring was in the middle of an audience. Last time I saw it in a store it was probably 1995 or 1996 and it was inside of a store called "Big Value Outlet" in MA and I have not seen it since. Any pics or info on it.....?

Sounds like the official LJN WWF ring from your brief description.

I recall a ring from around the time that the Hasbro ring came out that was available at KB that it might be.

Sounds like the official LJN WWF ring from your brief description. No, I had the LJN ring, this ring was a very basic ring that had no brand affiliation whatsoever. I first got it in 1990 when my dad bought me a bunch of Hasbro WWF figures for Christmas and he got me that ring because he couldn't locate a WWF ring, and then I saw it again a few years later in a store and it came in a very generic box. Hopefully someone reads this and can help, I tried like crazy to find it online but to no avail.....

It was a generic or bootleg wrestling ring from a dollarstore (or similar cheap store). Probably looked like a shrunk LJN ring, similar to this (from morenomark's generics thread)

I'm starting to believe I'll never lay eyes on it again, but thats fine, I was just hoping someone had some info.

Was this ring also a carrying case? I got one for Christmas 1992/1993 from a department store called "BEST" and the ring was almost identical in proportion to the Hasbro ring, but it was also a carrying case. I actually liked it way more than the Hasbro ring. Unfortunately, I don't have it anymore but I do have the soundbox still...the name of the company that made it is printed on the soundbox, so I can look that up for you sometime. I think I tracked it back to some generic toy company in Asia that went out of business 12 years ago. It's a shame, I'd love to get that ring again. The price for it was $9.99 also.

I had that ring ! Funny thing is Jakks bought the mold an released it in the TTL days. The box had Rock in t-shirt and sweat pants vs Stone Cold in t-shirt & shorts on it. It wasnt in the data base but i know it existed.

Hah ha ha, I remember Best. There was only one here, and it got rocked in the 1994 Northridge earthquake. The funny thing about it was that the building never reopened, but nothing replaced it for years. So it just sat there, an empty interior for about 5 or 6 years. I think you guys can guess why my family and I coined it "Worst". ;D
