I'm pretty sure my friend had one. He definitely got a free hogan with his because I remember his parents had bought him a Hogan seperately so I was able to swap him one of his hogans for a honky tonk man.

Also if we're talking £200 per figure mint in bag. Surely these rings will just be opened by collectors as I can't imagin they will fetch £400 sealed.

How gutted would you be if you opened the box, and all that was inside was a house brick and a ton of bubble wrap?? hehe

I seem to remember a box with the Hogan and Savage figures on it, although it does say ''figures not included" in Toys R Us when I bought my first Hasbro ring. Although mine was the ring that came with the sound module. SO it might have been sold in the UK, I really seem to remember my dad saying to me "The figures aren't included in this one" and so I went for the one with the sound module. Unless I dreampt that up

i'd put a conservative estimate of anywhere from 1000-2000 JC Penny rings. BK

I suspect there may be a few out there but people don't know what they have. A real test will be if one or two go for that kind of price and then we'll see how many more turn up as people realise it's value

This ring is indeed very rare...I even think $1000 is a good price for it considering only Hasbromaniac, you, and the person I sold mine to (maybe on this site?) have it. The only difference I saw with mine was it had a sticker of that Hogan/Macho faceoff...yours looks to be printed on. Is that how yours is too Hasbromaniac? I got mine straight from the JCPenny catalog I believe Winter of 1992...I sold the catalog too with the ring. I posted a picture of mine on here a while ago before I sold it. I'll look on EBay and see if I can find the right catalog and post it here.

I'll post some scans about the differences in the next day or two. I did post a pic of the JCP catalog pic before. Here it is again.

Finally got both of my rings out of storage. The 1st ring might actually be a Hasbro internal/salesman's sample. It has "Ages 5 & Up" printed on the front of the box. It also has what appears to be a proof figure insert sheet and a different variant/error bagged Savage figure. It says "Flags Made In Japan"? My 2nd ring is like the one hasbromaster now owns. It has "Ages 4 & Up" on the box and has a double sided mini-insert. I scanned both sides; the writing is the same as the other insert. Both boxes have stickers of the bonus figures, neither is printed on.
