Okay, we've seen several paint variants uncovered over the last few years, here's the newest one. Now, I can confirm Ultimate Warrior from Series 1 The green and pink are 100% different shades, not faded as it is the same color all the way around the body, every part. The logo on Warrior's trunks is also larger and shaped slightly different. Comments, thoughts, Funskool version

Also, sorry for bringing this up, but does anyone know why the waistband on the trunks is like a belt on this figure? It has always bugged me, and i have no clue why they did it. On the back of the figure you can even see where the belt ends! Wierd :S

I've never seen a photo of Warrior from '89-'90, when they'd be prepping this figure, with a weight belt on.

Just decided to look at my Warrior to see which one it resembled. My warrior looks like the one on the left in the pic but mine doesn't have a discolored torso. I am assuming thats the variation. Unfortunately I think its probably just faded, but thats only my opinion. What does everyone else think?

I've seen warriors like this before, in my opinion its just a faded fig, not a variant, I could be wrong but the tell tell signs are in the fact the flesh appears to be a different tone in both figs.

I think it's a VARIANT or maybe a new funskool figure..

there's no way it could be a fade.. the tassles on the arms and legs are the exact same color as the tights are, the tights are consistant all over, and the wrist bands are the exact same color. If it was a fade, it wouldn't be 100% consistant like that. as Hasbromaniac pointed out, the logo on the back is also different..

The lighting is making the torsos appear different colors. Both torsos are basically the same in color. It's the paint that is the different shades of pink and green.
I would like to see one of these carded to be sure what country this figure was produced in.

I don't think this figure was ever on a funskool card but i'd guess it was a foreign figure where they have used different paint. A slightly different mixing process could cause one to fade a lot more than the other.

I won't comment on whether this is a variant or not, but I will add something about the paint fading issue that some people either aren't aware of or overlook: the paint fading on Hasbro figures is not sun-fading, but due to environmental conditions. The way the figures are stored and where they are stored leads to a chemical reaction in the plastics and the paint that causes the fading or discoloration. This is why so many new paint colors are popping up as the years progress. This is why museums keep their exhibits in air-tight, environmentally controlled displays: to prevent damage from the elements or the environment.
Again, I don't know a thing about this Warrior colorations, but the above is a reminder that just because a figure is one color all the way around does not mean it was originally painted that color. Sun fading is just one very minor part of the actual problem with these figures due to the paints and plastics used in production. Hasbro made them well, but they didn't make them with the mind that people would still have them and be collecting them like this nearly twenty years later.
What I CAN add is that I've seen both of these color schemes on Warrior #1 in person, but I've only seen the one pictured above on the right MOC, so I've never been able to tell for sure what the deal is with the other.

That is an interesting point GoldenHulk.
Finding this possible "variant" carded or any of the other Hasbros with different paint schemes carded has been frustrating. Maybe it just is the paint ?

This color change will also happen if the toy are left in the water and out in the sun for long periods of time . I have an interesting Undertaker color variation myself that is an around color change, not sure whee he is though.

Strange, my Ultimate Warrior has trunks that are a shade of green almost inbetween the 'faded' and the 'regular' colours. But the arm and wrist bands are the sam bright colours as the 'rehular' Warrior.
My guess is that this isn't a variant and perhaps the green has just faded. I've noticed on other figures or other non wrestling figure items that sometimes a single colour might fade yet the other will stay the same.

I have a yokozuna who has a whiter head. It is almost definitely fading as he wasn't like it when i bought him.

Definitely plastic/paint fading due to environmental circumstances. This is not a variant.

Sorry but I disagree. As I mentioned before, it's very odd that both the pinks and greens are different shades on various body parts. The logo on the back of the trunks is of a different size tampo as well.
Most collectors have one area, such as the head or torso that has changed colors; or even Rude's tights.
I'm not going to say for 100% that this is a variant, unless I/anyone can find a carded one in lighter colors.
