nwl.com - Big news out of NWL this morning...Apparently, Ken Anderson, formerly Ken Kennedy of World Wrestling Entertainment, has agreed to join the NWL and has been added to the free agent pool. Both St. Louis natives are looking to make a splash on the NWL as soon as possible. - Chicago has picked up their pace as of late and are looking to burst through. Assassin has stated that he has a ton of faith in his team. - So far, attendance for the NWL has been successful. The NWL has been succeeding in funds and are only on the way up. Top Ten of the Week:T-1. Ace Bennett [Los Angeles Most Wanted] T-1. Chris Hammers [Las Vegas Blitz] 3. Tim Smith [Boston Brawlers] 4. Kenny King [Las Vegas Blitz] 5. Brian Thompson [Chicago Warriors] 6. Jason Williams [Los Angeles Most Wanted] 7. Red Dragon [Los Angeles Most Wanted] T-8. Sean Shafer [Tri-State Evolution] T-8. Trace Demon [Las Vegas Blitz] T-8. Cameron Stone [Boston Brawlers]

[special thanks to jord for the sweet graphic!]...PRESENTS: NWL LIVE! Chicago, IL 06/20/09 - 8:00 PMWelcome to the windy city! We are back in Chicago, where the crowd seems pretty damn full! I'm Jimmy Pietrafesa and I am here to deliver some great NWL action. Tonight, another format will be used, consisting of 6, yes, 6 matches with a 15 minute time limit on each. Each match will be a triple threat. We have a long night ahead of us! Match #1; Scott Taylor [Los Angeles Most Wanted] vs. Sean Shafer [Tri-State Evolution] vs. Steve Corino [Boston Brawlers]- After 12:23 of action, in our first of six triple threats tonight, Corino scored first blood here for Boston, after giving Taylor a superkick and scoring the pinfall. Corino celebrated his victory. Match #2; LyNN [Chicago Warriors] vs. Nick Jacobs [New York Crush] vs. Kenny King [Las Vegas Blitz]- After 09:56 of action, the home team Chicago scored a victory here, after LyNN was able to give Jacobs a Springboard Tornado DDT and grab the quick 3, right before King could break it up. - After the match, King gave Jacobs, who just got up from the DDT, a King's Coronation for good measure. King is not a happy camper tonight. Match #3; Ace Bennett [Los Angeles Most Wanted] vs. Duan Sanchez Jr. [Tri-State Evolution] vs. Cameron Stone [Boston Brawlers]- After 14:50 of action, right before the time limit, Ace Bennett kept his undefeated streak alive after pinning Cameron Stone following a Syracuse Drop. - Afterward, Sanchez Jr. shaked Bennett's hand in the center of the ring to signify his respect for this man. - Intermission - - A NWL official announced that they have taken the fans opinion into account and will be using different formats from now on! - New NWL shirts have been released! Match #4; Chris Hammers [Las Vegas Blitz] vs. Chad Collyer [New York Crush] vs. Brian Thompson [Chicago Warriors]- After 08:07 of action, in a stunning turn of events, Chicago picked up its second win of the night, after Thompson drilled Collyer with the Roll the Dice and got the 3 count. Hammers couldn't believe his eyes when he saw Thompson's hand raised. Match #5; Tim Smith [Boston Brawlers] vs. Kevin Shamrock [Tri-State Evolution] vs. Red Dragon [Los Angeles Most Wanted]- After 12:29 of action, Kevin Shamrock finally scored his first win of the season for the Evolution, after he nailed Tim Smith with a Famine Driver. Really good match here and key win for the Evolution. Match #6; Assassin [Chicago Warriors] vs. Trace Demon [Las Vegas Blitz] vs. Mike Bockwinkel [New York Crush]- After 11:06 of action, in an almost doubtful scenario, the Chicago Warriors swept their matches tonight, after Assassin picked up his first win in a few shows, following a Dragon's Way on Bockwinkel and the pinfall. - The crowd celebrated with Assassin, who was really pumped up. This is a turn of events for Chicago in their hometown. - The next time we will be in Chicago is in two weeks, the 2nd of July! Tickets are on sale now! - The next time the NWL & I will join you will be 5 days from now in New York!

Nice show man. I do prefer the first format myself. Glad to keep myself undefeated and giving my team points. Hopefully that lasts a while. I believe with Hammers losing that makes me the last undefeated guy. Hopefully more teams are on the way with the free agent pool filling up. Keep it up.

Love the idea of this overall, really new, interesting to read. Love that Kennedy is coming to this as well. Pretty solid show, like the short but still solid match results that you got going on there. cant wait to see which team gains momentum as this moves forward.
Nitro was a good read. overall solid booking and good description with all of the matches. Especially liked the Misterio/Benoit match as well as Jericho/Ultimo, which seemed like it was awesome. Liked the Giant promo, well written stuff there. Good main event, liked the ending, cant wait to see more man. Great show.

The show was awesome, and the format is great. King attacking Jacobs surprised me because everything usually seems so professional, so it was kinda cool. Not much else to say, but I can't wait for another show.

Anyway awsome show although realistically would there be a whole show of triple threats? Chi Town is doing well now I knew something like this would happen, glad we got one win and are still in the gunning for the playoffs, suprised by some of the outcomes but thats what makes this great, keep it up

[special thanks to jord for the sweet graphic!]...PRESENTS: NWL LIVE! New York, NY 06/25/09 - 8:30 PMWelcome to my hometown, New York City! I am Jimmy Pietrafesa and I am here to provide you with the best wrestling in the United States...NWL! Tonight, each team will have a tag match and a singles match, for a total of 6 matches! - Before the show began, it was announced that the New York Crush have sent down Chad Collyer to their minor league team and have called up Kevin Hart. He will be wrestling tonight! The fans seem satisfied. Match #1; Ace Bennett & Jason Williams [Los Angeles Most Wanted] vs. LyNN & Brian Thompson [Chicago Warriors]- After 10:01 of action, in our first tag match of the evening, Chicago's luck finally ran out after LA stopped their winning streak, following a Psycho Driver from Williams to LyNN. The match was pretty decent and got the crowd pretty warmed. Match #2; Duan Sanchez Jr. & Sean Shafer [Tri-State Evolution] vs. Cameron Stone & Steve Corino [Boston Brawlers]- After 09:33 of action, Tri-State finally broke out of their funk, after Sanchez Jr. got the pinfall following a SGM on Corino. Stone didn't like the result and seemed bitter afterward. - The crowd gave Sanchez Jr., a City native, a big hand for his win. Match #3; Chris Hammers & Kenny King [Las Vegas Blitz] vs. Nick Jacobs & Kevin Hart [New York Crush]- After 11:42 of action, in a stunning turn of events, New York picked up the victory over the first place Blitz, after recently recalled Hart made King submit with a sharpshooter. The crowd went nuts and Hart celebrated with the front row. - King seemed pissed off again after another loss and he shoved Hammers before leaving. Hammers blew it off. - Intermission- - It was officially announced that Ken Anderson, Devin Curtis, Evan Pagano, and now Joe E. Broni have joined the NWL family. All four are currently free agents. - A raffle was held for tickets to the next New York event on the 11th of July. Match #4; Assassin [Chicago Warriors] vs. Red Dragon [Los Angeles Most Wanted]- After 14:26 of action, in a split match, Red Dragon added salt to the wound of Chicago, after he pinned Assassin following a Red Dragon Driver. The crowd didn't move at all during the match and was very entertained. Match #5; Tim Smith [Boston Brawlers] vs. Kevin Shamrock [Tri-State Evolution]- After 16:16 of action, Smith was able to split the wins for his team tonight, after he drilled Shamrock, who is having some losing ways, with a STO and then picked up the pinfall. The crowd really hates Smith for some reason. - An advertisement for next week's NWL Roundup was made, where we will hear from Ace Bennett of Los Angeles Most Wanted, in an exclusive interview! Match #6; Mike Bockwinkel [New York Crush] vs. Trace Demon [Las Vegas Blitz]- After 23:17 of action, the home crowd was silenced, following the Trace Demon victory over the home team's captain, Bockwinkel. Demon finished him off with the Demonstration of Hell and grabbed the pinfall. The crowd goes home angry. - The next time the NWL & I will be joining you is 4 days from now in Boston!
