[special thanks to jord for the sweet graphic!]...PRESENTS: NWL LIVE! Las Vegas, NV 06/05/09 - 7:00 PMTonight, this whole saga begins finally! Everyone who has worked until this day didn't think it was coming, but it has! ALAS! The National Wrestling League is upon us! Wrestling fans, get ready for the greatest organized sports league in the world! NWL! We are live in Las Vegas tonight, where the Las Vegas Blitz certainly have some home ring advantage against the 5 other teams. Hello folks, I'm Jimmy Pietrafesa and I will be covering all the NWL you need for the whole entire season! Tonight is just the beginning of what should be the next big thing in professional wrestling. The card tonight will feature a total of 5 matches, including an appearance from at least two members of each team. We go to ringside for our first bout of the evening... Match #1; LyNN [Chicago Warriors] vs. Steve Corino [Boston Brawlers]- After 05:26 of action, LyNN fell short for the Warriors and was a victim of Corino's Lariat. The crowd didn't seem all too excited for this one, even though it was the first ever NWL bout. Corino picks up a win for the Brawlers in the first match of the season. A shot of Corino's fellow Boston teammates were shown celebrating in their locker room. Match #2; Ace Bennett [Los Angeles Most Wanted] vs. Sean Shafer [Tri-State Evolution]- After 10:11 of action, sizzled veteran Sean Shafer was unable to beat the 'Most Wanted' man in the ring, Ace Bennett. Bennett was able to put away Shafer, the crowd favorite of the match, with a Syracuse Drop and a pinfall. Bennett earns LA their first win of the year. Match #3; Kenny King & Trace Demon [Las Vegas Blitz] vs. Chad Collyer & Mike Bockwinkel [New York Crush]- After 09:15 of action, in NWL's first ever tag team match, the hometown Blitz were able to defeat the visiting Crush, following a Demonstration of Hell from Demon, on Chad Collyer. The fans cheered loud as their team picked up a huge tag team win! - Following this loss, New York captain Mike Bockwinkel gave his teammate Collyer a little verbal assault in the middle of the ring. Collyer tried to calm him down but Mike ended up storming out of the ring. - Intermission - Match #4; Tim Smith [Boston Brawlers] vs. Assassin [Chicago Warriors]- After 14:35 of action, Tim Smith was able to prevail in the battle of team captains and pick up another Boston win over Chicago here tonight. Smith nailed Assassin with the STO and got the pinfall victory. Smith celebrated as Assassin looked on very bitter at losing for his team tonight. Match #5; Red Dragon [Los Angeles Most Wanted] vs. Duan Sanchez Jr. [Tri-State Evolution]- After 27:01 of action, Duan Sanchez Jr. was able to score the Evolution's first win of the year over LA's team captain, Red Dragon, following a Second Generation Moonsault. Following the match, Sanchez & Dragon shook hands out of respect for each other. - Following the final match of the night, a NWL spokesperson came down to the ring to promote/sell tickets for the next NWL event in Las Vegas, Nevada! Then he wished us all a safe ride/flight home. - The next time NWL & I will be joining you will be tomorrow night in Boston, MA! Tune back to read the results from that show...

Very, VERY interesting idea here Duaner. I love the whole team concept, makes it very interesting. I'm glad I picked up the victory for my team. The write ups are short, but they are good enough for me. Keep it up man.

This is easily one of the most unique concepts I've ever seen on the sims board. Not to mention, I also love your layout and match write-ups. Next week, I am certain that the Boston Brawlers will resume their undefeated streak in their very own hometown. Again, awesome job so far. Keep up the excellent work, buddy. You've definitely got a reader in me.

I really enjoyed this. The layout and concept is brilliant. I was looking at the teams, what does being highlighted in red mean?

Yea, I want to know what's up with the people whose names are in red. Mainly because my name is in red lol. I love this idea and I can't to continue to see it unfold.

That was great, its so different and pulled of perfectly, glad we left with a point, suprised by some of the outcomes but thats what I like to see, Can't wait till next week hopefully down the line we get 6 man tags, keep this up
I'm pretty sure the red is the guy in the minor leauges, the team captains were told to pick someone each of thier team who could be called up to the team anytime as long as someone else goes to the minor leauges instead.

[special thanks to jord for the sweet graphic!]...PRESENTS: NWL LIVE! Boston, MA 06/06/09 - 7:00 PMMany rowdy fans pack the arena tonight as we come to you live in Boston! Tonight's show should be a great hour and a half of action and I will be here to cover it all! I'm Jimmy Pietrafesa and welcome to some NWL action! Before we begin, it is noted that NWL shirts have been released. Its a baseball style shirt...team logo on the front and player on the back. I'm sporting my Shafer shirt, hoping to see him in action tonight! Match #1; Nick Jacobs [New York Crush] vs. Brian Thompson [Chicago Warriors]- After 07:07 of action, Nick Jacobs gave his team their first victory this year, after planting Thompson with a 'Distortion'. Jacobs offered his hand and it was accepted afterward. Solid bout of action and definitely a big win for New York. Match #2; Scott Taylor & Ace Bennett [Los Angeles Most Wanted] vs. Kevin Shamrock & Duan Sanchez Jr. [Tri-State Evolution]- After 12:56 of action, Scott Taylor & Ace Bennett proved to be too much for the Evolution and put them away following a Syracuse Drop on Sanchez Jr. from Bennett. This was Taylor's first match in some time, but no ring rust was shown. - Following this match, Shamrock was helped to the back by Sanchez Jr. Apparently, the word is that Kevin has bruised his shoulder. Nothing major though. Match #3; Chris Hammers [Las Vegas Blitz] vs. Steve Corino [Boston Brawlers]- After 08:11 of action, in his NWL debut, Chris Hammers showed Boston who was really in charge here, as he put down Corino by pinfall following a Bloodrush. The fans booed Hammers, which is nothing new, as he has just defeated the home team in their first meeting tonight! - Intermission - Match #4; LyNN [Chicago Warriors] vs. Chad Collyer [New York Crush]- After 10:11 of action, LyNN came very close to getting Chicago their first win, but fell to Collyer after Chad made him submit to a Cloverleaf. Frustrated with his loss, LyNN refused to slap any hands going to the back. - It was announced here that a new segment named 'NWL Roundup', will be broadcasted on NWL.com starting this upcoming week. It will be showcasing everything about NWL and even more than you already know! Match #5; Tim Smith [Boston Brawlers] vs. Trace Demon [Las Vegas Blitz]- After 26:22 of action, Tim Smith got the crowd cheering after he put down LA's team captain, Trace Demon, with a STO. Following his win, Smith celebrated with his fans as Demon walked disappointingly to the back. - It was announced that NWL will return to Boston at the end of the month on the 29th! - The next time NWL & I will be joining you will be tomorrow night, as we end the inaugural weekend of NWL, in Chicago!

I'm so glad I hired Ace, makes sense to have Tim go over in his home state although I don't expect you to do that all the time, its hard to reply to this diary, maybe each team should get home colours? that would be cool, keep it up, good luck

Another great show Duaner. I'm rooting for LA Most Wanted to win the championship at the end of the "season" if there is one which I'm guessing there is. It really is a great concept. Loving your write-ups. Glad we got the clean sweep today.
