We all come into a small bedroom were Ace Bennett is lying. Many thoughts were running through his head.
"Ugh, so close"
"How could I let myself down like that?"
"Why couldn't he have stayed down a second longer?"
The fact that Ace Bennett had lost his first match was ripping his entire mind to shreds. All he could think about was hitting his signature Shining Wizard, A PERFECTLY EXECUTED Shining wizard, and still not being able to get the job done. Bennett was physically and emotionally drained. He fell into a heavy sleep, where he continued to have nightmares about the ending to the match-up.
"Here is your winner, Aaron Ashton!"
Bennett's prone body laid there for another few minutes. When he finally came to, he realized that he had let his mentor, the recruiter down. He made his way to the back, slowly. When he got there everyone was praising him for putting on one of the best matches they had seen in the Developmental Center. None of this mattered to Bennett, he was too disappointed.
"WHAT WERE YOU THINKING!?!?!"
"Sir, I'm sorry, I thought he would be......"
"WELL YOU THOUGHT WRONG!"
"With all due respect sir, did you see that match?"
"IT DOESN'T MATTER MONROE! I THOUGHT YOU SAID THIS KID WAS THE NEXT BIG THING! THEN HE GETS BEAT BY A DEVELOPMENTAL? YEAH NEXT BIG THING........"
"Sir, I realize he's very green still, but just give him another shot."
"Monroe, its not him you should be worried about"
"What do you mean?"
"Your fired, I'm sick of all these mistakes that you somehow continually make"
"But........"
"Just go, you will receive your last check in the mail"
"You don't understan-"
"I SAID GO!"
Bennett had overheard the entire conversation. His mentor, Danny Monroe, had just gotten fired because of him. The one guy who had believed in him and gave him his shot, had just lost his job on something that wasn't entirely his fault. Bennett ran to the bathroom, feeling cautious from the ordeal that had just taken place. He emptied his stomach into the toilet and when it was all out, he kept dry heaving feeling the greatest pain in his life since his mother died.
He woke up from his nightmare in a cold sweat. He laid there motionlessly until his phone rang.
Bennett: Hello?
Monroe: Hey kid.
Bennett: I heard what happened.
Monroe: Yeah, it sucks.
Bennett: I'm SOOO sorry, after I heard I we-"
Monroe: I know what you were doing, the whole locker room knows. You throw up very loudly.
Bennett: Oh....... Well is there anything I can do to help?
Monroe: I don't know kid, your probably tired of hearing from me by now.
Bennett: Absolutely not, I doubt I would be here if it wasn't for you. I would like you to continue giving me advice for my matches.
Monroe: Like a manager type of deal?
Bennett: If that's what you want to call it, then yes, I would like you to be my manager.
Monroe: Sure, you got it. Got any information on your next opponent?
Bennett: His name is Sam Kineval.
Monroe: Oh yes, I know about him. Here's what you need to know............
Bennett and Monroe talked for hours about the moveset and tactics of Sam Kineval. Bennett felt very happy that he was still going to be able to stay in contact with his good friend, "the recruiter" Danny Monroe.

All constructive criticism is welcome. I like how this turned out, except the ending.
