Vanessa lays alone in a shallow pool, naked under a heavy cloud of foam. She's alone in this world; the light's from the candelabras fills the room with a haunting shade of gold. She stares deep into the pale tiles across her. It's shallow and blank, a mirror image of her emotions at the moment. Her right leg surfaces from the foamy water; beads of water and foam drips slowly back into the shallow pool. Her foot slowly skims around the rims of the tub and edges its way towards the faucet. Her toes taste the steam of incoming water for a brief moment then closes the faucet with her toes.
Vanessa:
This little lady lost her wings not to long ago, but tonight, she gonna grow them back.
Her leg soon returns into the water.
Vanessa:
It's been so long. I feel like a stroke survivor learning how to walk again. I've almost forgotten that feelinfg of being in the middle of the ring. That all changes tonight.
Eeny Meany Miney Mo. Catch a tigress by the toe. If she hollers, let her choke. Eeny Meany Miney Mo.
Tigress, I've got absoloutely no qualms over you, but you do stand in my way. When that bell rings, it's gonna resound a thousand times louder and linger inside, and the whole world slows down right before you're very eyes. You lose everything you've ever learned and you travel somewhere deep inside you; a place that you fear to tread. In that moment, that damn incomparable moment, you lose all sense of humanity. You even forget that you mensturate. All you have before you is the peace and time your loved ones gave to you prior to the match, but once you step between the ropes and enter that four-posted world, you lose everything but instinct. You've got to understand, despite the impending aura of a time limit, it ceases to exist.
We share a dance. You'll be my partner for fifteen minutes and I'll be yours. It's real, pure, and unscripted. Seen by many, its esoteric in its nature. Our senses become keen of every movement; every sound. In that world only we matter... Trading places along the way. And when its all said and done; when a sense of normalcy returns to our world, I will make my final move, when I pin your shoulders deep into the mat.
Eeny Meany Miney Mo. Catch a tigress by the toe. If she hollers, let her choke. Eeny Meany Miney Mo.
Vanessa slowly sinks herself into the bath. She wraps her toes around the stopper and pulls, revealing the drain.
