I'm looking to make decals for these Booker gloves. Anybody know the branding? ![](https://preview.redd.it/o22hh3ppyz4b1.png?width=988&format=png&auto=webp&v=enabled&s=44f7f86390f7a68e808aae3e398a9c0d783cf870)

Any ideas (preferably cheap) for black upper leg pieces to swap with Ultimate 17 Andre (as it looks like he is on ball joints)? Not cheap but E71 Big Show

Since the 3way Rock/HHH/Austin was supposed to happen at Survivor Series, and Austin isn't hurt - how do they work around that? They wouldn't have a rematch that quickly at Mania would they? Does Big Show get involved at SS or WM to make it a 4 way? Maybe at Survivor Series he is added and wins the title and the 3 way happens at mania But I feel like the Fatal 4 way was a lock for Mania and they always had plans for some type of 4 Way. Lots of guys to pick from before the injuries Also wasn't their some type of rumor about Big Show being promised a mania main event? I don't know how that even works into a contract but 12 year old me always believed and heard Show was in the main event because of a contract agreement They knew in July that Austin was going to get shelved imminently. They worked around his limitations by: 1. Booking him into tag matches and joining the match late, and not bumping around 2. Writing him out of action after Summerslam due to HHH-sustained injuries and only appearing in a non-wrestling role 3. Being booked in brawling/no dq/falls count anywhere matches so he didn't have to bump around in the ring They stretched this period out as long as they could because they needed to build up replacements and storylines, plus the Undertaker took off around September, but Steve's issues were getting worse and he couldn't perform at any capacity. So the match at Survivor Series that was booked prior to Austin being run over would not have been the match we got because they'd have booked completely differently.

Can anyone recommend the current cheapest option to get hold of some black gauntlet gloves (i.e. with the big flared wrist pieces)? So far I've thought of: -Entrance Greats Undertaker -Decade Of Domination Undertaker But both are too expensive. I'm wanting to put them on an Elite Macho Man and want to keep it factory (i.e no painting) I made a Wolfpac Macho custom using the Decade of Domination ones, I lucked out and found it cheap on ebay. Love it. I'll post a pic or send one to you if you would like to see it. Before I got it, I was tempted to either use: 1. Two Kane right glove cuffs and say f*** it 2. One Kane right glove cuff, one grey Undertaker one and dye that black (numerous videos out there on dyeing plastic black) 3. Keep looking for the aforementioned Undertaker figures. I got lucky with that one But I think the dyeing is a decent option for you for the time being. Give him some Booker T WM 19 hands and you'd be set with those glove cuffs.

Yeah it would have been Rock vs HHH vs Stone Cold for sure.
Big Show was reportedly pipped for a match against Austin but it would have been a wet fart for the fans. Big Show was popular with the fans in 1999 but as soon as he won the WWF Championship, fans were bored with him. The company tried to have him wrestle like Goldberg but he had nowhere near the longevity or intensity Goldberg had, despite Show being pretty intense when needed. He just missed something.
He was slotted into the main event at WM 2000 apparently because he was promised it upon signing his contract the year before. He was also promised a run with the title within the first year as well, hence why he randomly won it. It was a box ticking exercise to fulfil their obligations to him.
Foley was involved in the main event because he was retiring and hadn't been given his dream of main eventing Wrestlemania. So it was more of a thank you to Foley.
And finally they wanted to pump the numbers for Backlash and hold off on the white hot HHH vs Rock match for the title, so WM fatal four way was a way to extend that and milk it further. Worked well tbh.

TLDR; Test was mega over in 1999 thanks to his storyline with Stephanie McMahon, feuding with Shane and then Triple H/DX. But he got shafted after Triple H married Steph and began the McMahon-Helmsley era. He went from getting monster pops to floundering before teaming with Albert. He never recovered in my eyes and only bounced back in the Invasion era because Triple H was gone.
I truly felt they dropped the ball on him. He wasn't the most charismatic or that great on the mic, but they could have nurtured him and continued using him to his strengths like they had before. It felt as though they just "gave up" on him in December 1999. Your thoughts?
So Test was introduced in October 1998 as the bodyguard for Motley Crue while they performed on WWE Raw and appeared on Sunday Night Heat. His name was a play on Testosterone, alluding to steroid usage.
He joined the Corporation as a muscled henchman but left in April 1999 and formed the Union with Big Show, Shamrock and Mankind, turning face in the process.
He trundled along as a midcard babyface but really gained traction when he began courting and then proposing to Stephanie McMahon. They became much loved in the eyes of the fans, because it felt organic and was presented as true soap opera love. It was relatable, and hats off to Stephanie who was a decent actress as this sweet, caring young woman.
The opposition from Shane and the Mean Street Posse gave it an extra push and people wanted them to succeed. Test as a result received bigger and bigger pops, and turning Shane face and siding with his sister and Test was the right move.
Test's popularity grew and was undeniable, he was getting one of the biggest pops of the night by October-November, behind only Austin, the Rock and Mankind.
He wasn't the most charismatic guy but they used him to his strengths and the story had people invested. He was due to marry Steph on November 29th Raw, but Triple H beat him to the punch.
Test was then unceremoniously ousted out of his push. He had a couple of weeks of angrily feuding with Triple H and DX, but lost to X-Pac the Smackdown before Armageddon 1999 and thus began his slide down the card.
Afterwards, he kind of just existed/floundered in the midcard, just being a cardboard babyface and basically dropped his retribution and accepted defeat. The crowd literally began turning on him because he gave in so easily and had lack of character.
He then re-emerged as a heel in March 2000, and joined up with Albert and Trish. Mainly out of "let's do something with this guy".
They failed him basically, in my opinion. They failed to capitalise on his popularity and clipped his wings by pushing him out of the way for the bigger HHH-McMahon feud.
Steph being a mega heel after siding with Triple H should have resulted in him being a huge babyface trying to get revenge but getting screwed, but emerging stronger because of it.
I believe he should have been a thorn in DX/HHH's side for most of 2000, then when Stone Cold came back, he should have been framed as the driver of the car that hit Austin.
They could have played it out as Triple H scheming to get Test implicated and get rid of him. Triple H was driving the vehicle but an eyewitness account said he saw a blond, bearded wrestler get into the car. Therefore Test also fit the bill. And grainy CCTV footage can't distinguish between Triple H and Test, but Triple H finagles it to make it seem like it was Test as the driver.
Just an idea.
His career basically never really hit many heights after the McMahon storyline. He did nothing of note in 2000, picked up again in the Invasion era which was when Triple H was out, then when Trips returned in 2002, Test was relegated again to doing nothing except bumping for the Undertaker in the summer.
In 2003 he was prominently featured on Raw but it wasn't exactly a push. In 2004 he was expendable and released later in the year. His 2006 return was what it was for about 8 months but released due to attitudes and enhancers.
I truly think they dropped the ball on this guy. He's not someone I'm that fond of but do appreciate how over he was in 1999 and they could have done more with him.
What are your thoughts?

Not answering your question, but offering an alternative. If you search on ebay for example "black elastic cord" (or whatever colour you want), and go for around 2.5mm thickness, you can buy a whole length of it and cut it to the desired length you want. It's literally the exact material they use for these wrestling ring ropes. When you cut them to length, take a lighter and burn the tips so they don't fray. Tie them in a little knot after threading through the turnbuckles and then cut the excess off. Stuff the small knot under the turnbuckles and you wouldn't even know they're there. Your post lead me on an Amazon search and I found 10 yards of 3mm thick black elastic cord for my AEW ring. I've been looking forever for this stuff but must have been searching all the wrong ways. It's literally perfect and the sagged ropes are no more. Phew! $4 and change later. Yep 3mm thickness is the same as the older Jakks Real Scale Rings and work very well. Definitely a very good cheap alternative.

Just think. All they had to do to make this a success was charge international customers the same as the yanks. 1000 people from the rest of the world would have absolutely backed this. Will they learn from this? I have a feeling that’s a no. This died by Mattel’s greed. Nothing more to say. 100% This is entirely on Mattel's fault and I could pretty much guarantee that at least internally, they will blame us in some way. It is entirely down to their greed. A complete and utter balls up. Completely overcharging us for: 1. Currency conversion 2. Tax 3. Import duties - which they have basically no reason to make us pay up front (see New Gen ring). This should be down to the individual to pay after receipt in country. 4. Additional £9 shipping. Why do we have an additional charge for this when we're already paying for shipping into the factored £500? It comes down to them trying to make a quick buck. And it absolutely backfired. So no blame should ever be placed on anyone else. AND then you have all the other choices they've made regarding the offerings and early backer bonus..... Terrible, just utter terrible. And finally to cap it all off, the marketing was done wrong. Why do what you should have done in the first week and throughout the campaign, AT THE LAST COUPLE OF DAYS LEFT? Advertising on WWE.com, on the WWE Network, promotion on tv and getting Hulk Hogan to push it on the last day? There is so much to learn from this and it is absolutely mind-boggling as to the decisions made during this campaign.

It was £15/$21 when I bought it locally here in the UK about 3 weeks ago. So it's a mixed bag. I did that WCW conversion by swapping the head and boots from the Legends 9 figure. Any pics of that fixup? Would love to see it. Sure thing, have you got an IG? It'd be easier for me to send to you on there.

I'm going to make a prediction that if this hits around 4,200 by this point tomorrow, the whole thing will get funded. Purely out of momentum and positive optics for the FOMOs.

If our stage gets funded, I expect a mark up in our WCW figures. People better hurry up and purchase the guys they've been wanting for a while. On another note, why the hell is the best of elite Bam Bam $40? I never even saw that figure online for retail... I low-key wanted it to convert it into a WCW version. It was £15/$21 when I bought it locally here in the UK about 3 weeks ago. So it's a mixed bag. I did that WCW conversion by swapping the head and boots from the Legends 9 figure.

As long as they have cloth skirts, this is awesome.
Plastic ones will restrict ROM so it'd be a bummer.

Out of curiosity, how many international folks will bite the bullet if this reaches 5k before the deadline? If 5k isn’t worth it to y’all, would DDP sweeten the pot enough to back? If this reached Warrior I’d be tempted to compromise my principals on one. As I’ve got every mattel Warrior (including OWN and 2K14, but sans granite and USA). If this hits 9k and I decide to back it, Warrior is all yours for an appropriate cost.

Cardona tweeted this to drum up interest in the stage, but it seriously backfired. If anything, it shows just how small the stage is and somewhat cheap looking when set up in a regular home. I can’t justify $400+ for this. Plus it looks tiny compared to the ring…wtf. It really doesn't look that bad to me in terms of scale. Especially if it's basically 1:1 with figures. Maybe the ring is a little too large by about 4-9 square inches but that's not really that big of a deal. Sounds like you're just finding things to complain about.

Hi Steve, it appears that this Defining Moments Mankind will not have his wrist tape that was worn during King of the Ring 1998 which is where this DM comes from. From understanding what you have said in the past regarding timetables, I suspect this is too far into production right now to correct? If I were to guess, these are being packaged right now? ![](https://thewhole-shebang.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/rex_205_mankind1-2.jpg) ![](https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0619/5534/2589/products/FsfZCqCWYAA-bTy_1445x.jpg?v=1680217020) ![](https://www.si.com/.image/ar_1:1%2Cc_fill%2Ccs_srgb%2Cfl_progressive%2Cq_auto:good%2Cw_1200/MTY4MDI4NzYwMTM4NDU4NDk2/mick-foley-undertaker-hell-cell-interviewjpg.jpg) If so, just to raise a point - please could you pass on the message to the design team to try to get attires as 100% accurate as possible? I get it when budget creates issues, and appreciate that. And although I don't want to come off as negative, things such as this or Scott Hall's untucked trousers are things that should not be overlooked and up to us to point out. Thank you.
