I just hope they are somewhat scale to ra's. If they are totally different, oh well, ill just start collecting again. i hope they don't make rey mysterio the same size as the undertaker

Of course most people want them as close as possible to Jakks stuff, cos if they are not then most collectors will have to give up collecting or scrap the thousands of figures they have to start from scratch. I don't want them to be all out of scale and identical in every way to RAs but if they make their own realistic figures in the same size with the same POA (roughly) then they will be compatible. Jakks stuff is realistic so the scale is all that matters unless Mattel are planning cartoony stuff which would be suicide for a WWE figure line.
Mattel would be insane to change the style anyway when they are taking over such a popular brand. If they keep the realistic style in the 7 inch scale then they'll instantly have a huge fanbase. If they make the simple improvements to the handful of big stars who Jakks made (the roster changes so quick that most will change within 6 months to a year anyway so trying to get everyone to buy an 8 inch version of everyone would be a stupid move cos there would only be a few that would have been made by Jakks anyway) people will buy them again anyway if they look really nice and fit in with the new stuff aswell as old.
If Mattel plan to do a Legends line then they really need to keep the RA style/scale because they will never get all the same Superstars made again. If they were to continue in the same style they would have loads that could be redone either because Jakks messed them up or because they are big names (Hogan, Warrior, LOD etc) Plus they could continue adding new names whilst revisting a few old ones and gradually do them all again whilst keeping people collecting. Because that's the main thing, if they are a different style and scale then no one will collect a Legends line, not many people anyway because most Figure Collecting Classic Wrestling fans already collected CS figures, there's not going to be more overgrown kids of the 70s and 80s willing to buy tons of toys appearing from nowhere. The current lines could work in a new style because kids would still buy them but it would still take a while to build up a big fanbase as most kids buy one or two figures a year not one or two thousand figures a year like some adult collectors.
So yeah, unless Mattel are insane they should keep the WWE figures as close to Jakks stuff as possible whilst being different enough to look new (which is basically guaranteed anyway as they won't just copy the exact same parts). Cartoon style WWE figures won't sell so unless they decide to be idiots and make them an inch smaller I reckon it should be cool. If not I'll just buy old Jakks figures and make customs to fuel my addiction.

Yeah I agree with everyone on the scale, I just wish they'd diversify the sets though.

I won't be collecting Mattels figures, but I doubt they'll be anything like Jakks.
Mattel wants to make money off of this line. In order to do that, they have to make sure that fans won't say, "well I already have the Jakks Festus and since this one is so similar I really don't need it."
Look at when Hasbro took over, then when Jakks got the licence. Mattels will probably either be shorter or taller than Jakks, and very different.
On the other hand, I can see Jakks making TNA figs using the same molds as the WWE line. Why? Because Jakks has proven over and over again that they are lazy.

As long as they're the same scale I'm happy.

Didn't Jakks change styles a few times before getting to the RA's? (I hope they're different cuz the Jakks figures kinda suck.)

I'd like to see three things 1. scale similar enough to jakks to make them not look like giants or dwarfs in our current jakks collections 2. a seperate mold for each person or realistically molds that represent a larger array so instead of muscly fat and smooth id like to see toned slightly toned not toned at all super jacked for people like hhh and batista and 3. removable ring gear and accurate accessories. i think they do this and our expectations will be more than met.

Well I would like the scale to be similar because I really don't wanna buy a new ring. But I want them to be all DA. I'm a RA collector not DA. But if Jakks had started out with DA then half way through picked up the RA line I would of stuck with DA. I like how DAs have ten times better articulation. If theres one good thing coming out of this its that Mattel will have better articulation for the figs....hopefully.

I only collect DA, so if Mattel makes figures close to DA's I'll be fine.

I love how most of the people here did nothing but bitch about Jakks for years, but now they're all pissed because Jakks line is ending. Jakks' figures have been crap for a long time. Of course most people want them as close as possible to Jakks stuff, cos if they are not then most collectors will have to give up collecting or scrap the thousands of figures they have to start from scratch. That's what happens when figure lines end. The AWA collectors had to deal with it, The LJN collectors had to deal with it, the Hasbro collectors had to deal with it, the WCW Galoob collectors had to deal with it, the WCW SF Toymakers (the LJN-like figures) collectors had to deal with it, the ECW collectors had to deal with it, the BCA collectors had to deal with it, the TTL and R3 collectors had to deal with it, and now the RA, CS and Deluxe collectors will have to deal with it. You people should have known what you were getting into when you first started collecting.
