The only thing I can say that you should do different that would make it amazing is use the skintone to make his gloves fingerless.

It's very FamousJ or Rome like. It doesn't look too bad, the line in the middle of the abs seems a little unnatural.

I've seen FamousJ do something like that on one of his customs, so that's where I got it from, lol. Maybe someone can help me out with sculpting abs. I'm really trying to improve my sculpting so any help would be appreciated.

Practice lol..you call that practice. That thing is amazing. You really capture the skintone when he had that awkward hotdog bronze thing going on. The chest and ab scultiping is great and looks spot on.

I really like the Hogan, skintone looks great. The abs sculpt looks good, but the line doesn't help it. I've seen what you were going for from Famous J's work. Try making a hardline like you did, then smoothing vertically with the side of the tip of your finger, then work outwards from the line. Will help get the ab definition to show.

When sculpting abs instead of using a slicing motion try using your finger. Use the side of it and run it across the torso vertically...then smooth out the sides of the torso horizontally all the way down...to make it blend and look like real muscle definition...do the same thing but in reverse if you are trying to achieved a more sculpted abs look.
It looks good though. I love the skintone.

looks awesome, the skin tone is dead on and your painting is smoother then a babies bottom. as far as the abs id just do away with the line for the simple fact hogan really doesn't have abs.

Dude this is an amazing custom Bart! I love it. The skintone is very famousj esque and the sculpting is very smooth. Did you hand paint all the logos on it?

Bartman, I'm just using what I have on me right now but, here's a way to get a clean smooth line without totally sculpting the area. These aren't abs but you'll get the basic idea. I never touch my sculptures with my fingers once I get past the "roughing out" stage. In picture 1 you can see how rough the lines look. These were just sculpted quickly with a dental tool to give you an example. Picture 2, the same clay. This time instead of using the tool directly on the clay I placed a piece of plastic on top of the clay and did the sculpting. This gives you a barrier between the tool and clay. It leaves a smooth, soft finish without the need to go back in with a paint brush and solvent to soften the lines. Picture 3 , Plastic removed - much softer lines. The best way to do the muscle definition would be to hollow out the torso and re sculpt the whole thing. I guess this is just a way to go about breaking up those hard sculpted lines. Here are a few anatomy pics of the abdominal area. I don't have my Body Worlds (last 2 pics) book with me right now so these are all off the net. I would've PM'd you but I thought others might be able to use it.

Hay man, I really like the Hogan. I like the sculpting on the chest, although I'm questioning what happened to his nipples. Yes, I'm odd like that. And the skin tone looks rather accurate.
And yeah, those are some rather good muscle ref pics up there^

Thanks so much to everyone for the sculpting advice. Those are some very useful pictures you put out there Rozz, much appreciated man.
