My first BnB custom...

Hey there, great board and great customs. Wanted to post my first custom job in a very long while, I used to be a Warhammer 40K guy from eons ago, and did minis and dioramas. Gave it up for a while with work and kids and all that, but recently felt that creative spark flare up again.

Anyway, I really love the Build n Brawl line (except for the 2 Batista thing) but I doubt it'll be around long enough to do too many more figures. So I got antsy and decided to pick up a spare Shawn Michaels to make a DX version for myself. I only got a webcam for now, so I apologize in advance for the crappy pic quality.

This is the original, clean-shaven, white attire (along with a little DX pose for my desktop):




I use Games Workshop acrylics, so I painted the pants and wristbands flat black, and added the little neon green DX logos on the wrists:




I did the shoe tips in green also, and then made the green X logo down the legs. I added a green stripe along the side to break up the monotony a bit. I also decided to make him one of those poncho style shirts with the sides cut:




Finally I thinned a little brown leather and drybrushed on that rugged 5 o'clock shadow. And the finished product:



Now I need to get another HHH to complete the duo.

I can see just by your post you put a lot of work into the custom and it paid off! Looks very smooth, and considering the size of a BnB fig - you did an awesome job.

That looks superb! The facial hair really makes it. The Fluoro DX crosses look well done, overall a very good custom.

Thanks for the kind words all, even the short ones lol... I got a Matt Hardy V1 in the works, hopefully I'll be able to get better pics for this one. I'm getting better at making the t-shirts in this scale too lol...
